I was on a business trip at this hotel and found its really good hotel. I was impressed by their service and would recommend ... to my friends also. The best part was after a busy day I wanted to have couple of drinks and the bar right at the hotel was most convenient one.

Went shopping and sightseeing. It was better then the last one. Staff was friendly. The hotel most of changed hands because I ... think the sign outside said Carol not Clarino The steak house looked like it was closed down.

We were the only people there that night !! We had to run the wAter 30 min before it warmed up we were beginning to think ... there was no warm water at all. The heat in the pool and hot tub wAs broke so it was toooo cold to swim and when we were headed back to the room after trying to swim the hotel staff which was 3men from another country laughed at us because we were cold there was two holes in our wall and the plumbing needed help other than that the stay was quiet ( we were the only people in the place )

Would recommend to a friend!

We stayed at this hotel yesterday before flying to Pittsburg. A very pleasant non-smoking room (rare to find these days) and ... spotlessly clean with a decent bathroom and basic toiletries which were all that were needed before our flight. Front desk clerks were helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast was perfectly acceptable and the beds were very comfortable, rooms good size, everything clean, nice friendly and fast check in, the kids liked the hot breakfast, they enjoyed the pool also, and I liked the safe feeling with good security. The price was perfect with hot comp FULL breakfast the next morning. Convenient to fast food, airport, and shopping. What more could you ask for? This is where we always stay when we go to Omaha and we have been very pleased with this hotel. In summary highly recommended compared with other places at twice or three times the price.

My husband and I stayed at the Carol Hotel during our visit to Omaha, NE. The hotel was easy to find, very well kept, had ... every convenience we needed or could ask for, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. After we checked in, the person on duty, [...], called our room to be sure everything was to our satisfaction and related that he would be available should we have any questions or needs. We were happy with the service they provide at affordable rates. They do serve hot breakfast and not just continental :). My kids enjoyed the pancakes and sausages. We will definitely stay here again.

Wasn't a bad room; needed vacuuming, the bathroom light didn't work properly, the remote had no batteries, and the handles ... were falling off the tv armoire. After letting the front desk know these things, they did assure us we wouldn't be charged for them, and they gave us a replacement remote. The sheets were clean and it was quiet, until the next morning when the smoke alarm started going off and wouldn't stop. We had a smoking room and had smoked the night before, but hadn't that morning. Otherwise, was a peaceful stay.

This was a nice hotel if you were only spending one night and needed a place to stay cheep. The staff was very nice and very ... fast checking in, though we were the only car in the parking lot. The room was nice, kind of clean, but there was no clock and there were shelves from what looked like a mini fridge behind the tv stand. The only worry we had was that the side door to the hotel was never locked and the inside door bar to get out of the door was broken off. The hotel also looked pretty run down from the outside, but once you get in it looks good. It is a good part of town, walmart and bestbuy are really close and so is Famous Daves is in walking distance.

My overall rating is more like 3 1/2, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Night 1 I arrived in the afternoon. ... Check-in was easy. When I got into the room, I found the comforter was not spread out. No biggie, the bedding / room was clean (just may have been an oversight). That afternoon, the shower water took about 20 minutes to get hot. I did not have the same problem at 6:30 a.m. the next morning; the hot water heater might be on a timer or something. Complimentary breakfast in the restaurant was decent - hot items included eggs and pancakes. I did not bring my laptop, expecting to use the business center. I was surprised to find the business center locked! I then went to the front desk, which to my surprise was unattended at 7:30 am. Not sure how long it was like that, another guest informed me they left their key with the cook. It was 8 am before an employee came in. He informed me they do not have internet in the business center any more. He did check me into my airline website and print my boarding pass at his station. Night 2 Water took 20 minutes to get hot at 4 am. I left for the airport at 5 am (no staff in the lobby). Overall I took a chance on this over a slightly less expensive option. This hotel is not "bad" per se - I just expected a little more.

My room was clean, spacious, with table and chair and comfortable beds. Staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel is in a ... very convenient location, close to I-80 with easy access. There are many restaurants, pubs and shopping mall close to hotel. Noise-sensitive folks (like one of us) did not had any problem at all. The breakfast was not the typical continental rather it was hot breakfast with pan cakes and scrambled eggs. I know this is a selling point for the hotel, but we found the 40" screen a little too much from the viewing distance of the bed, but certainly can't complain. Overall the stay was comfortable and worth spending money. Definitely worth staying at!

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The room was large and clean and no smells at all. They do provide free internet and hot ... breakfast which was really great. In addition to this they have HBO and other channels. Plenty of towels. Refridgerator and microwave. Pet friendly. The staff was nice. Anytime I come to Omaha I will stay here. I have had some bad experiences in some of the area hotels but my stay here was a pleasure. The only concern was about the hallway carpet as it was a little old but I think for the price they offer its ok. Over all I would recommend this to anyone who wants to save some bucks and enjoy their stay.

My wife and our 2 kids made a trip to Omaha's HENRY DOORLY ZOO so we decided to stay at a hotel the previous night. I used my ... AAA membership card (I used to travel A LOT during my previous job), and looked for hotel, which is potentially a little scary. I checked out reviews for this particular hotel in Omaha (located south west of Omaha, about 10 miles away from zoo), and honestly didn't say many good words about it, but I read on and realized the reviews were written a couple years ago, when the hotel was under different management, So I figured I'd give it a try. Here's what I found: 1. The hotel clerk was very pleasant and checked us in promptly. 2. The elevator was small but worked fine. 3. Our room smelled just a bit musty (like your typical hotel room), but not nasty. 4. The room was spacious, very clean, the A/C worked great, water fixtures worked fine. 5. It was quiet, so we slept well. 6. On our checkout, we had a great talk with the manager, and he really seemed to care about us and if we were satisfied with our stay. So all in all, for hotel Carol, I was very satisfied with my stay, and I have been to worse hotels that didn't really care about customers.

Overall, a very nice stay. Rooms are nice and spacious. Very clean. Staff was very pleasant and extremely helpful. Some areas ... need to be improved. Bar area is a attractive and fitness center is very small. Good for business travel. I would stay here again. I think that Hotel must be undergoing some type of image "make-over". They seem upgraded over the last year.

Although its an older hotel we found our room clean and in good order. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was very good, ... and the price at $60 was extremely reasonable. We would definitely stay here again.

Not a bad place. Friendly staff, room was clean, breakfast the next day was good. Cross country stopover for less than $70? ... Kids liked the pool. Local pizza delivery place was TERRIBLE, avoid Valentino's. Seconds from I80.

My friends and I came to Omaha for the weekend and stayed at Carol Hotel. I am always amazed at the cleanliness of this hotel ... - everything is always spotless. The new beds are oh-so comfortable and are always span. Our service has always been on the mark, and the breakfast staff are always so sweet and helpful - you can truly tell they care about your stay. The only complaint I can think of (which is pretty much the same in all hotels), is that when people leave their rooms, since the doors close automatically, they close pretty loudly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a delicious breakfast and a clean hotel!

Down-trodden hotel

Our first room had the headboard ripped off and the TV on the fritz. When I called them, they moved us to a different room, ... but didn't offer to help with our bags, which we were obviously struggling with. The front desk was often unstaffed and the breakfast area was not ready at 7 am when it was supposed to start. And directions to the place via phone were incomprehensible.
