Holiday Inn Express LINCOLN(11TH & CORNHUSKER HWY)

I booked this hotel for an overnight business trip and was very disappointed. Compared to the pictures posted online, I found the hotel to be dingy and gloomy. The pool was not accessible, the hallways were dark and smelled like cigarette smoke and my room smelled like charbroiled burgers from the Burger King directly in front of the building. The air unit in my room did not cool the room down enough to make it comfortable enough to sleep. The coffee was lukewarm and my milk tasted sour when dining in the kitchen area. I walked next door to the Shell station for a cup of hot coffee.

I stayed at this hotel while visiting some friends in and around Lincoln. The room was very comfortable and staff was great! The pool area and free breakfast were nice, and I loved that the hotel was within waking distance to a KFC, Runza, a little shopping - just enough to not have to jump in the car for an evening meal after spending a lot of time driving. It was a good stay!

Don't stay here. It's not worth the price no matter how low it is. This is more like the quality of a motel 8. The hotel is old not like any other Holiday Inn Express I've Seen or stayed in. Usually they are new and nice hotels. This one was old and run down. The employees were nice. But don't be fooled this has got to be the oldest and most run down express in the chain.

Staff was friendly. Easy access to U of Neb museums. Good choice of food for breakfast.

checked in and checked window as was on first floor. It would not close completely and obviously not lock, went back to lobby and receptionist tried to fix it, did not work so they just switched my room. Nice breakfast with good variety. reception people were very helpful as I had a difficult time connecting with internet. was able to watch fireworks from front door which was very nice. Things were clean and comfortable. Just felt location was a little questionable, but after second day felt ok with it.

Pool was out of service during the stay, which is one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel. Hotel offered 2 wash cloths for 4 people. I asked for more but they had zero clean wash cloths. This happened for on two different stays. The desk person complained how busy they were and how they just didn’t have time to get clean wash cloths. Sorry Holiday, customers don’t like to hear how you’re too busy to help your customers. Get the job done!

The room was clean and the maid sevice excellent. The chair to the desk was low and uncomfortable, and the couch was old and uncomfortable. The breakfast that was included was also excellent. The hotel is located close to restaurants, a grocery and a gas station. It is also close to expressways to the airport, downtown and most commercial locations.

Found an unauthorized charge in my credit card. When I called the hotel, I was put on hold. Then I was told she could not do anything because the manager was not there. When I got there, the room was trashed. I felt bad because the girl had started her break. Then the tv in the new room was not working. Shower flow very weak.

We arrived after midnight so did not get to enjoy this hotel as much as we would have liked. We planned on a visit to the university and this hotel was close enough for our needs. Very comfortable beds, good breakfast, and the shower had just the right amount of pressure. Staff was friendly and efficient upon checkin.
