Motel 6 Kearney

I don't know how old this Motel 6 is, but it is either brand new or newly remodeled. It was all clean and new and shiny. Just what you want after 12 hours on the road. Amenities, bedding and style were average at best but I wasn't looking for a vacation spa, just a clean place to sleep and take a shower in the morning. Considering it was the lowest price motel I found and just about the closest one to the interstate I found it a terrific value! Thanks, Motel 6!

We went to the front desk and asked for more pillows and they said that they only had one pillow available. Also we went to use our phone to get a a wake up call and the phone cord was cut. The front desk help that was in the morning was more helpful then the one that was there when we checked in at night. The person at the front desk when we checked in was not very personable.

I've had better bedding in the Army

Nice place to stay, but we really needed a fridge when traveling with small children. Even a hair dryer would have been nice, but they didn't even provide that.

Clean, just right for a quick stay

Clean, modern, and convenient.

You can't beat the price anywhere. We were visiting family over the 4th of July so we needed a place for sleep and down time. We like the location because it is close to both 2nd Ave and Central, so getting around town is simple. We decided not to bring our dogs with this time, but it was nice to see pets around the place - and, no, we did not hear them.

1. Pubic hairs all over the toilet and shower, from a previous guest. 2. Broken air conditioner in room. 3. Rude and unfriendly staff. 4. Housekeeping staff that tries to come into your room and clean, even with a "Do not disturb" sign on the door @ 9AM (a full two hours prior to check out). 5. Scary other people staying there (including a man with pitbulls), smelled like pot and cigarettes, blood stains in the hallway floors. 6. All of the lights are low wattage flourescents, that make you think you are going blind and give you a headache. 7. Humid, wet carpets (probably from the poor air conditioning) made worse by the fact the floors were dirty. 8. No pool. 9. No breakfast. 10. Circular parking lot, you will probably have to park somewhere else. This makes parking almost impossible for more than just a few cars. 11. The toilet sprays at you when it flushes (no, not kidding). 12. No clock, alarm, or time keeper in room. They don't offer wake up calls either, so you are SOL. 13. No full sized bath towels. They are basically big hand towels.

This Motel 6 was very recently built/renovated and very clean. Good basic amenities. The only slight would be against the excessive fluorescent lighting.
