Pool was closed for maintenance so this was the first problem. Room smelled. Heater in room did not work well. Suspect people hanging out in back corner of parking lot. I know it is low cost but I don't plan on returning.
We spent the night here because it was cheap, we needed a pet-friendly hotel, and we just wanted a place to crash overnight on a road trip. We had our two small dogs with us and had to pay an extra $20 for them.
The first room they put us in had
no facade on the sink - just bare wood - the facing had been ripped off. We found what looked like feces on the blanket under the bedspread and had to get a clean one, and the battery on the fire detector kept beeping due to a low battery. When I called to inquire if they could come change it, because the beeping was freaking out our dog, they asked us if we were smoking in the room. They agreed to change our room, so we had to pack everything back up and move. We would have left, but we were just too tired and wanted to relax. They advertise that they're the best deal in town - that's only partially true. They're the cheapest in town, but you get what you pay for.
On our way back through, we ended up staying a block down the street at a major hotel chain - the one that has an eight in its name. Much more accommodating, cleaner, less pet deposit, roomier, and the staff was great and made sure we had everything we needed. We were very pleased.
Room was HOT upon arrival..Curtains weren't even hanging correctly. They DO NOT have Husker Football Station..BTN..
Price was the lowest & you got what you paid for...
Breakfast Room was too small for the number of rooms they had occupied & not a
very good selection..went to Breakfast at Casey's next door.
They door to the hall didn't close tight...
The bathroom had some repairs...they were done poorly..Brown paint from trim on wall..at least hope it was brown paint..
I don't require a lot from a hotel, and so I had a great experience. The price was right, the room was clean, and they came in and cleaned the room for the second night. Breakfast was self-serve and adequate.
It's located close to I-80 and there
are places to eat within walking distance.
The hotel is in need of a good cleaning and repairs and replacements of soiled chairs etc. Just not a good experience. For the quality it should be about a $40 motel rather than a $60 or $70 place. The breakfast in limited.
