Weekend in Hastings
We were pleasantly surprised with the friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff. Reviews we read before going said they were lacking.. There was a room mix up with our reservation which was quickly remedied at no charge to us. Staff was very welcoming and accomidating. Breakfast selections were great! Will stay here again!

Short drive from hotel
If you sleep in and miss breakfast go to The Garden Cafe. Breakfast all day and the food was excellent!

Not bad but needs some friendlier staff
Front desk clerks were kind of unfriendly but fine. When I checked in the young lady asked me if I was going to keep the charges on the credit card I booked with, so I put away my credit card and wallet as I said yes. A few minutes later, she "needed to see my card". She clearly saw me holding my credit card and I think she purposely waited until I put everything away just so she could make me go through the hassle. I told her I wasn't impressed with her customer service. Also, the morning attendant was rude about announcing that breakfast was "over at 9:30am". As if I should have gotten up from my seat and returned to my room. So much for small town hospitality.

Hotel staff wasn't very friendly. Seemed like they didn't care whether we were there or not. Had an outside door so we could park outside our room and have easy excess to it.

Clean, Quiet and Comfortable
It was relaxing and enjoyable. We emjoyed the pool area where we sat and visited with family. The facilities were clean and staff was friendly. Great homemade waffles for breakfast.

Breakfast bar SURPRISE!!!
Our room was great! Maybe a little more light is needed in the vanity area (my only negative thought while staying there). But we were very happy with the breakfast bar the next morning!! The selection was awesome and I could even have a couple of hard boiled eggs!!! I would have to give the breakfast (included in our room price) 5 stars.

We were in Hastings for a seminar of sorts for the Christian Motorcycle Assn. We were right across from the Church where CMA sessions were to be held. Also want to recommend OK Cafe.
