Super 8 Grand Island

Our room was clean. The recliner chair was broken, arms were very weak. We borrowed an extension cord to use for our 2 breathing machines. Not enough electrical hook up near the beds, but it worked out okay. We were very pleased with our short stay. Went to a wedding, and then to Stromberg to visit family. Thank you.

Good room, great value. The rooms were clean, enough space for me as a single traveler. There was free Wi-Fi (sorta slow) and continental breakfast. They have a pool, hot tub, and fitness center. It's near places to eat. Like some other people have mentioned my shower temperature fluctuated every once in awhile. It's a little annoying, but better if you know it might happen. Overall, I would stay here again.

Walked into the lobby of this horrible little place and found it to be run-down with a grouchy staff. To find it, we had to drive about 30 min. off highway I-80. The location seemed very industrial and shabby. After one look around the lobby, we turned around and got back into the car and drove back to I-80 where we found a place to stay that was $30 cheaper, 10 times nicer and more convenient. Of course we were still charged by the Super * motel [...], so be very careful when planning your cross-country trip! Please avoid staying here!

I only rested. Liked having a fridge and a microwave. Very clean too.

Over all it was a clean, pleasent place to stay. The only problem I had was with the room. It was super small without enough room to store our luggage.

Staff was courteous and efficient. Location is great. Room was fine. Needed a reasonably priced place to sleep for two nights during a three-day meeting, and this was just right. Only downside was housekeeping began knocking on doors before 8 am.

The hotel looked old and run down. The pool water was freezing cold, the rooms were small. While taking a shower, the water pressure was almost no exsistant, and the water kept going from hot to cold with out anyone moving the handle. The breakfast they offered was horrible. I am really dissapointed that we choce this hotel.This hotel didn't even have sheets that fit the beds, the ones they used covered the top 3/4 for the bed leaving our feet to rest on the mattress.Once we checked in, and had a look around we actually started to call other hotels in the area to see if they had any openings, however it was a busy weekend and they were all full. I would have rather drive the 2 hours from Lincoln to Grand Island, and the 2 hours back to Lincoln every day than to ever stay at the Super 8 hotel in Grand Island NE... This is my first time using Orbitz, and may very well be my last time. We trusted Orbitz to offer us a through guide of what to expect from this hotel, however we were truly disappointed. First impressions mean a lot to me and as I was saying a trip to the dentist would have been more pleasant that my weekend stay at Super 8...

The night staff was not very friendly, almost to the point of being rude. The day staff however was pleasant. The indoor pool was cold and dirty and the "free" wifi didn't work. Also the non-smoking room was indeed a smoking room the previous day and only the door tag was changed. When I complained they did give me another room, but the disdain of the night crew, left a sour taste in my mouth. There were quite a few families with children, however the children were out of control, running in the halls just being kids, however, the management nor the parents did nothing to curb the noise. I would not stay there again!!!

Nothing special. Quiet. Would stay again, through Orbitz, & not pay full rate.

Very friendly staff, rooms clean and comfortable.
