Howard Johnson Hotel Riverside Grand Island NE

Since Denny's opened in July 2012, They can no longer serve food. The coupon I was traveling with came out in August, but they said it was old. It said free hot cafe breakfast as well as their web site says free breackfasst. When in fact they give you a $4 off voucher to eat at Denny's. There are 4 things on menu for $4, but that doesn't cover coffee. Bait & switch. Sign on back wall of desk states the will remove safe charge from bill @ checkout. When I asked them to do so She said that they don't charge unless the come in & open it for you. Safe requires a credit card. I won't stay here again. Even Super * waffles are better that Denny's greasy breakfasts.

Poor selection of food for breakfast. Rooms were ok but staff was not very helpful when asked to assit. Very poor seating for breakfast.

The motel had some issues but nothing terrible. We never did find the elevator but the stairs were right by the door to our car. We met our daughter there and our rooms were in a quite area and together. Would have liked to have one of those doors between the rooms but it worked. Really liked the hot breakfast, choice of 3 different breakfasts. The pool was very nice and not too busy but no kids in the hot pool under 12? I am afraid it was the babies 1st pool experience and he was in the hot pool. For the price it was clean and the air conditioning worked and there was hot water. Good Value.

It felt like we were at a motel 6! lack of services, refridgerator broken, crack in tub, tub clogged, phone rang 3 times with no one on other end (found out from other guest that there phone did the same) had to get my own pillows due to no staff at 10pm. tape on the wall, no parking available, poor to no internet connection, missing a chair in the room (for the desk). I have already told friends to NOT stay at Howard Johnson, we travel to Grand Island twice a year, this was the first and last time we will stay at HOJO! VERY UNSATISFIED!

The room smelled of mold and mildew . The bathroom also showed signs of a water leak . Staff at checkout in morning (when I told them of the odor)did not seem to really care . Will not stay in a Howard Johnson again.

The staff was not so much unfriendly as they were indifferent. The bathroom floor hadn't been thoroughly swept; there were dust balls and hair snippings on the floor behind the bathroom door. The tub faucets didn't feel like they were attached to anything behind the tub enclosure. The front desk give us 2 tickets for their complementary breakfast. The cashier in the restaurant asked what we'd like to drink and what kind of toast we wanted. After ten minutes, they brought out a little plate with a slice of toast, two link sausages, and a scrambled egg (maybe an egg and a half). Given the reputation of Howard Johnson's, we were quite disappointed. This was the worst motel we stayed in on our entire trip.

It is an "okay" motel, my biggest complaint was housekeeping didn't replenish the coffee packet after my first morning there so the second morning I wasn't able to make my morning coffee.

This hotel I was a little skeptical but other than the outdated room decor we were very pleased with our two night stay, and would stay there again, we didn't eat in the cafe but it was busy when we viewed it.

My experience was EXTREMELY HORRIBLE, AS BAD AS IT COULD HAVE BEEN, NON-EXCUSABLE, NOISE LEVEL UNACCEPTABLE WITH A BAND PLAYING UNTIL 12:30 FOR A WEDDING RECEPTION, TERRIBLE SMELL OF GLUE AS A RUG WAS BEING REPLACED IN THE HALLWAY. AS A RESULT OF THIS EXPERIENCE WE WILL NEVER STAY IN A HOWARD JOHNSON MOTEL OR DO BUSINESS WITH YOUR INTERNET SERVICE FOR FEAR OF IT HAPPENING AGAIN. NOONE SHOULD HAVE TO ENDURE THIS.

Family reunion was wonderful as they provided us with a room where we could gather and visit without being in the mainstream of the other hotel guests. Restarant staff was fabulous. Great place for kids to swim and good game room. Conveniently located with eash access to many outside amenities.
