Business Stay

A decent place to stay. Room was clean. Bath faucet didn't work very well. Nice breakfast room. Rate of $99 seemed a bit high for the feel of this hotel. But they sure filled up the place. This was a quick stay, got there later and left early so I didn't experience the hotel very much.

Good Bar

Myself and my boyfriend were staying for the weekend. The hotel was very clean and very comfortable. We were treated politely by the staff and the room was nice. However, the cleaning staff did walk into our room in the morning while we were sleeping, waking us both up and invading our privacy to say the least, but she apologized and left quickly. The bar located in the hotel was very nice and a plus as it was an alternative to going out into the cold. All in all I was satisfied with the stay.

The bar in the hotel is a fun place with good food and you don't have to leave the warm hotel in the winter to eat and have a drink with friends.

Parts of it were HOT, others were not!

There in conjunction with a wedding. Reception was being held there. [...] the manager was accommodating. Despite being in the middle of a major remodel, the hotel staff came through. There did however appear to be a problem with communication between staff. Booking at times when kitchen was needed but not available due to remodeling.

Worst Hotel I?ve Ever Stayed At

My parents, son and I traveled to ND for my uncle?s funeral, unfortunately due to a wrestling tournament in Bismarck we had to stay in Jamestown (this hotel) which is 100 miles away. Our first night was fine, nothing special, the hotel is old and run-down; they?re trying to remodel and that is the root cause of our problem. We arrived back the second evening shortly after 11 p.m., after traveling 200 miles (roundtrip) to and from the funeral. Our bathroom was flooded; apparently the remodeling folks hit a water line upstairs when working during the day, water was pouring from every inch of the ceiling. I called the front desk, they asked me to come down which I did, and they gave me four towels and two rolls of toilet paper?not a new room. Our toiletries (toothbrushes, etc) were ruined; we couldn?t even use the commode without draping a towel around us to keep from getting wet. The next morning the bathroom was worse, water still coming from the ceiling and was completely unusable. I went to the front desk and told them that I was not going to pay for the room; they told me there was nothing they could do about it (i.e. they were not going to comp the room) and that I shouldn?t have been in that room in the first place because of the remodeling going on above. The front desk gave me a business card for the owner and sales manager and told me to call them. To date, I have called these people 8 times. After a week I finally received a response (via voicemail) that they would credit me $20.00. I called back and spoke with the sales manager explained the situation in detail, to which the reply was that the sales manager would need to get back to the owners to see what else could be done?still haven?t heard from them?still no credit of any kind?and that was now 3 days ago. I have disputed the entire charge on my card and intend to write to the BBB as well as others to let them know of the treatment I have received.
