Budget Inn

About average for the price of the room, room was well used but about what you'd expect for $50 a night

Lousy service, dangerous rooms.

We were visting our daughter. All we needed was a place to sleep and shower. We didn't think we wanted to pay more for just those simple needs. Most motels are at least polite when you ask for toilet paper and fresh towels. What we got was a room with wires hanging out of the bathroom wall, an air conditioning unit that didn't work, stench from the nearby potato processing plant, swarms of flies in the room, a slippery bathtub which was not properly cleaned (athletes foot fungus) and cigarette burns in the carpet and bedspread. Compaints to the manager are met with a "this is not the Hilton; it's a one-star hotel" We were made to feel unwelcome - he in fact offered to refund only two of the 3 days when we checked out early - and said we were lucky to get *that*, but we wouldn't get it if we argued (read complain) any more with him. He is one of the new owners. We did not even recieve that at the time of this writing. Stay well away from this 'establishment'! It is well worth it to spend a little more and recieve a little courtesy.

dont stay here!

When I made a complaint, The manager decided, on his own - to check us out of the motel even though the rooms were prepaid. We may or may not get a refund of the remaining 3 days. (depending on whether he thinks I continued to 'argue' with him) I only asked for fresh towels and was told I would have to bring the used ones to the desk to exchange them since they were 'very expensive'. This was the sole reason for my complaint, even though there was much else I could have: The AC didn't work, there was a strong odor of old frying grease from the processing plant nearby, there were bare wires in the bathroom, there was no trash can in the room, and there were burns in the carpet and on the bedspread. (there was a 'non-smoking' sign on the door) There is ongoing construction at the motel, but the construction workers were the most polite people we encountered at this place. I wound up going to another inn for the remainder of my vacation. Even though we only stayed here to sleep and shower, it was not worth any money 'saved' to do business with this place again.

cheap but you give up a lot

It was 90 degrees out .. no air in the room, and windows do not open. EXTREMELY stuffy so we had to go out and buy a fan (that we did not need at home) VERY smokey smelling and we asked for a smoke free room. The shower was awful.. we could not control the temp of the water. The "vanity" was rotted out and smelled old and musty. The bed was comfy and clean.. VERY important!!

HORRIBLE! WOULD NOT RECCOMEND

We got a non-smoking room that smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. It was awful. The room was dirty and the staff were unprofessional. I had prepaid for my room an had my reciept but they still tried to double charge me for the stay. I would NOT stay there again and do not reccomend. It does not look or smell like the pictures in the least.
