The Quality Inn in Dickinson has a number of attractive features for the traveler in western North Dakota. It's near a neat little museum. The room is quite large. It was very clean. And quiet. The price was reasonable. The desk clerk was friendly, prompt and efficient. Now the unattractive features. It looks tired and worn. The central court is barren and cold. The breakfast was fair at best. The main items were waffles that you make yourself (fair to good) and cold boiled eggs. The eating area is spartan and unwelcoming. I recommend eating breakfast at Perkins across the street.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Kids would enjoy the Dakota Dinosaur Museum a stones throw away. I did too. Well worth the stop if you want a little diversion before going to Theodore Roosevelt National Park or Medora.
