AS in most places, it seemed like they did not have enough staff. We waited and waited for service at the restaraunt in the ... evening. The morning breakfast staff was much better. No coffee in the room. The "sleep #" bed did not work at all. No one could do anything about it as it was the weekend but they said they would have maintenance look at it when they came in. It seemed clean and quiet. Great shower, free local paper and free coffee in lobby.

Bring lots of cash... in hotel bar and restaurant is good but really pricey for what you get. Walking distance is okay, but if you are staying at this hotel, plan on getting overcharged for anything within walking distance.

Interesting stay in Bismarck
frequent business traveler Aug 12, 2009
I usually do not stay at Radisson hotels, as they are way too expensive. I do not spend a lot of time in the hotel because I ... am travelling for business, so I am there to work and sleep, that's it. For $100.00 a night (with AAA discount), I am very disappointed. This hotel room was FILTHY!! The desk chair had food crumbs and debris all over it along with really bad coffee stains and I thought that they may catch it after the first night, but after cleaning the room, they didn't even touch the chair, so I ended up sitting on the edge of the bed working on my laptop on the desk. The sleep number motors were terribly noisy, the wireless in the room was EXTREMELY poor (lucky I had a network cable with me to hook into a hard line... feel bad for someone not in the technology industry that doesn't travel with a network cable), and there was no hint of free breakfast. Hotels that charge 2/3 of that price are clean, hot breakfast for free, and the wireless internet works perfectly in the room. These are vital to a business traveler's stay. The floor was not cleaned in the room I stayed in and only felt comfortable on the bed or wearing sandals inside the hotel room. There was jelly or something sticky on top of the dresser that did not get touched while I was there and it is probably still there to this day. YUCK! It was nice to have an ironing board in the room, but there was no room to set it up properly, so it seems they want you to use their triple-priced dry cleaning service for ironing or do what I did and set up the ironing board in the bathroom. Really inconvenient... not a good review so far. The amenities and facility was nice, but I guess you have to be rich to stay here because you can blow a ton of money in this filthy hotel for average amenities and overpriced services just to make your stay tolerable. I do not feel that you should clean your hotel room upon arrival just to be comfortable staying there. The electrical outlets were inconvenient to get to and placed in the most inconvenient spot to get to. You basically have to move all of the furniture in the room around to get to them, but you dont want to do that because then you see how filthy these rooms really are... by far the worst stay I have had in a hotel this year, including the budget hotels that are less than half price of this hotel. I will never stay at this hotel EVER again and will tell people to avoid it at all costs. I am really disappointed that I was not able to stay at my regular hotel in Bismarck. It would be nice if Radisson wanted to give me a night's stay in their nicest suite at the hotel of my choice (room service and all food included) to make it up to me for such a terrible stay, but I really doubt that they would be that accommodating, as I am not an avad fan of Radisson hotels because they are all too expensive and overglorified. Staff was friendly and check-in and check out were quick and convenient. That is about all I have good to say about this hotel.

Could be better or worse
Meandering thru Life May 31, 2009
Our one night stay was good enough for one night. The hot tub in the pool area was closed and the toilet ran until you ... jiggled the handle. Staff from one day did not pass on to staff the next day that the main pool was open. The restaurant had very good food, but the hotel did not provide any free breakfast of any sort. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was wonderfully quiet.

"Unwelcome Surprises"
Jeremy May 25, 2009
We had a bad experience at this hotel. When we arrived at the motel we were informed that the pool and hot tub were not ... available due to renovations and updates. Right after getting out of the shower, the fire alarm in the room went off and we quickly got dressed and ran out in the hall to find out that nothing was wrong! Upon calling the front desk I was told that if I took a hot shower, that is what set off the alarm! I guess their hotel guests are not supposed to use the shower! We ran the fan and our room was not steamy at all. We liked the sleep number bed, but it was not working correctly, we set our sleep numbers to 35 when we went to bed and when we woke up we looked at the remote and it said both sides were at 50. The entire time we were there, there was a box fan running in the hallway next to our room for some reason, I could only deduce it was to correct a water issue. When we were getting ready to leave the first morning, the housekeeper knocked on the door and we told her we would be gone in about 20 minutes and asked if she could come back after that, she said no problem, but when we got back that night, our room had not been touched. We did call the front desk and they imediately sent up towels. Overall our experience was negative and I will very likely look elswhere next time we travel to Bismarck.

Beds comfortable but...
Pat Sep 1, 2008
The Radisson hotel lobby was very nice but the room we stayed in was not clean. The carpet looked as if it had not been ... vacuumed at all. We did find the beds to be very comfortable, but the room was much smaller than most we have stayed in. The wallpaper in the bathroom was starting to come off the wall. The vanity is in the bathroom and i personally do not care for that. Parking was easy on the sunday we stayed there but I think it would be a nightmare during the week.I do not think the room was worth the amount we spent on it.
