This trip was to visit Carolina Beach. Hotel was not too far away and was on a street with lots of stores and restaurants ... which was good. The inside of the room okay. There were several holes in the wall as well as a hole in the clock radio on the nightstand. This was reported to the front staff immediately. There were 2 dirty towels left in the room as well. A little more care could be taken to fixing up the walls and replacing broken items.

Downtown Wilmington is about 4-5 miles straight down 17th street. When you hit Front st. make a left or a right and youll find plenty to do.

The Red Roof Inn in Wilmington was very comforatble and clean. I like the fact that the admitting clerk took the timme to ... explain all the amenities and went on to ask if housekeeping needed to be notifed for anything extra I would need during my stay. I will definately stay here again.

Several reasons for not recommending: * Heating/cooling system needed repair. * Had issues with high speed internet ... that were server related - could not resolve. * Bed linens were very old and when I turned down the covers, I found a cigarette butt in the covers. Not only was this room nonsmoking, but I just did not have a comfort level that the linens were clean. * The breakfast buffet was not up to par. * In general, the hotel seemed dirty and in disrepair. Too bad, since the location is perfect and I visit frequently. My daughter is at UNC Wilmington.

It was a place in Wilmington that was midpoint between the two beaches that we were going to. I felt safe with the two ... teenage girls I was traveling with. The hotel is not as new or as clean as I would have liked. The staff were pleasant, but the breakfast was not very fresh and was already picked over at 8:00am when we arrived

The Red Roof Inn needs to have a health inspection. We checked-in and checked-out the same night. I saw some dead roach bugs ... in the bathroom when we checked-in, but did not request another room. What a big mistake. As we were resting in bed before going to sleep, a live mid-size roach was crawling across the sheets. We would recommend the Red Roof Inn, Roach Motel, to anyone.

I think the previous tenants had a dog that peed on the floor and the odor remover was quite strong. Other than that the room ... was great. I always love a king size bed!

I stayed at this location before in May 2004. The price and location are great, however, the night I stayed there the pool ... was closed. I would stay there again, and would recommend friends staying there.

The Red Roof Inn was nice. I always stay in a hotel that offers a complimentary breakfast, which was ok. The usual danish, ... bagels, fruit, juices, coffee and tea. The juice machine was broken during our stay and they should have extended breakfast hours on Sunday to accomodate church goers. The room was neat and clean, however, the toilet seat was broken and had to ask to have it repaired. i'm also noy fond of external room entrances, which this has. The location was good for exploring Wilmington.
