Great hotel, quick check-in, very clean rooms, close to dining and not too far from the beach. My only complaint would be ... that the breakfast selections were a little lacking.

The room was clean. It was a little stuffy at first, but we were able to open the window in the room which was a rare and ... refreshing option. The staff was courteous upon our arrival and departure. Check in/check out were both quick and painless and we even received a call shortly after check in to make sure everything was to our liking in the room.

Lots of good restaurants nearby to choose from. Some within walking distance but due to heavy traffic, most require driving.

We probably had one of the nicest times ever at Elijah's on the water front. The service was good as well as the weather, so we sat out on the deck. The Cape Fear River was beautiful at night. We got to the restaurant on Friday nite at 7:00 and had to wait for an outside seat for at least 1/2 hr. later on around 8:00 seemed to be a better time to show up, because there was no waiting. Elijah's is a little pricey, a steak will run you $26.00, so my wife and I got fish and chips, which was around $12.00. It was not what we would have liked, but what we could afford. Beer and wine prices are expensive as well, so you may want to order tea or just water. Over all though it was a real nice experience, we have been there before and plan on going again. Apart from the price we have always enjoyed Elijah's. For 4 of us we dropped $100.00

Marine Aug 19, 2009
The Jameson Inn is conveniently located to most attractions and shopping. We visited the Cotton Exchange, ACL Railroad ... Museum (great for all ages) and the battleship North Carolina. The breakfast at the Jameson Inn was great. The variety of items to choose from was better then other hotels we have stayed at. We would stay there again either in Wilmington or another city where they have a Jameson Inn.

Jameson Inn Wilmington
Don C Aug 16, 2009
For some reasom we were put in a handicapped room, the bathroom sink was in the room, I guess to allow bathroom to be ... wheelchair accessible, we are young and mobile, so not sure why this room. We were asked if we wanted a room on 1st or 2nd floor, I requested 2nd, so I am guessing that other rooms were available. It took us a little bit to realize all this, but we were happy with the room and our 2 daughters were as well so we did not ask to be moved. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable that we had ever slept on. We only spent one night but actually plan on going back this coming weekend.

Compared to other hotels in the area, we were very much impressed with the room, considering the rate we were able to get. ... The carpet was surprisingly plush for a hotel room. We missed having a refrigerator in the room, but otherwise it was pretty nice.

If you're looking for seafood in the area, try Hieronymous...within walking distance, off Market St. on the same side of the street as the Jameson Inn. It's local, good quality, reasonable pricing.

The Jameson Inn is a nice place to stay. It is in a good part of the city and there is everything around it. It is 15 ... minutes to the beach if that, and 10 minutes from Downtown Wilmington. The people who work there are very nice and will help you with anything. I recommend the Jameson Inn to anyone.

Everything is nearby. Target and Marshalls is across the street with Shoe Carnival which always has amazing deals! Olive Garden and other restaurants are a few minutes away. And the nightlife is downtown which is 10 minutes away. Olive Or Twist is the best club in town!!! The waffle house is right down the street and is good.

Michael Aug 3, 2008
The Jameson Inn was very comfortable and the stay was very pleasant. The room were nice and clean. The carpets were ... recently cleaned and had a fresh smell. I like the location and it was only seven miles from Wrightville Beach. Hotel was located such that we were able to visit downtown Wilmington and the beaches from one central spot.

My review of Jameson Inn Wilmington
Natalie Aug 19, 2007
Overall, it was an enjoyable stay. The staff was friendly, helpful, and answered any questions we had. The inn was very clean ... but had a strange odor (like they used too much disinfectant in the water when cleaning). It was weird that the maid staff wore uniforms that were hospital scrubs.

There is a shopping center directly across the street. While there is no restaurant on the property, there are plenty close by.
