Overpriced, And Overated For Sure

After being charged for parking by the day, which most other Hotels do not seem to do, we settled in.... Then we found the ... toilet paper was a very low grade and scratchy...You would expect more from a nice Hotel, as even Prisons have better Tolietpaper...Over all we were not happy campers...

We were here for my daughter's wedding. The hotel staff was wonderful and went out of their way to be accomodating to our ... family and friends. The rooms were very comfortable and the beds and pillows were some of the best I have ever encountered in a hotel.

Cafe Pheonix is not to be missed. A short walk from the hotel. Also, Elijah's is on the water and a great place to eat and "hang-out".

We stayed here for New years. The hotel was Nice, very nice room,the best thing was it was on the waterfront and it was close ... to all the downtown attractions, I would stay there again.

Poor condition and overpriced

This was my first and last time staying at this hotel. I can tell that it was a very nice property in its day, but that day ... is long past. I got the finest room available on the VIP floor and found it to be in poor condition and in need of a good cleaning. The toilet was inexplicably low to the floor. It was just a step up from a Japanese washiki. This was a terrible value for the premium price I payed.

My review of Hilton Wilmington Riverside

I loved the area the hotel was in but when I arrived at the hotel they informed me that the room that I requested, and only ... chose the hotel was for the riverview, was not available to my dismay. I was very dissatisfied at this point and considered my 3 hr drive home and conceeded. The next night I was transferred to a riverview but with the same smell. Other than the smell and mix up I made the best of it and enjoyed the rest of the weekend. The staff was very helpful after the mishap.

I've stayed at many Hiltons and this is about average. it's an older property but some of the floors have been redone. The ... staff is somewhat lax and aren't totally what I normally expect at a Hilton. The rooms are nice. Nice beds, nice sheets. The best thing about the Hilton is the location. It's right downtown within walking distance to everything downtown.
