Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach

Good location, good amenities, appeared clean. Pleasant, helpful desk staff. However, maid made up the room and didn't clean the bathroom till later...what's up with that? Then, when she returned, she did not refill an empty tissue dispenser, a half empty t.p. dispenser, and we were given 3 towels for a family of 4. Not to mention, the towels were like sandpaper and terribly thin. Bed much too soft, our backs were killing. Will not go back.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel looked beautiful. The air deodorizer smelled like bug spray. The rooms smelled like mildew and mold. There was a Palmetto bug (cockroach) crawling on our wall. Our sheet had a stain (looked like blood). The breakfast was wonderful- but it was ran by one woman. She was running around trying to keep up-They was out of juice, out of waffle mix. She needed some help. She was very nice, I felt bad for her. I was double charged~causing my bank account to be screwed up. I am very disappointed :-(

Staff was very friendly. There was just not enough to handle the demands of this hotel. The hotel had an air deodorizer that smelled like bug spray. There was hardly ever any towels at the pool. I was double charged for our stay. There was a Palmetto bug (COCKROACH) crawing on our wall. The woman running the breakfast was running around like crazy tring to keep up with the rush of people. Unable to keep up. I wanted to help her~felt bad for her. Not happy!

Hotel was nice and had a very friendly staff, no security cameras in the parking which led to or truck being broke into along with 18 others in the same parking lot!!! WOW!! Come to find out this same thing happened a year ago.

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and I would stay there again.

Great place to stay while on a vacation at the beach. About 20-30 mins away from the beach(with traffic) but not too bad. Hotel lobby and rooms were very nice and clean. Breakfast selection could have been better. The breakfast area is very small and all of the food is crammed up on one wall. But overall the hotel is nice

This hotel was perfect for a quick tour of Wilmington. The kids loved the pool and it was a wonderful location - easy access to all major roads. The breakfast was delicious and all staff was friendly. Very pleased with everything.

[...] we went to the pool around 10:30 which closed at 11pm, and promptly at 11 the night mgr comes in and rudely announces "The pool is closed...now!" and then waits like we're children for us to get out of the pool and exit the pool area. I was flabbergasted at this type of treatment. As much as I loved the decor and cleanliness I can't say I would re-book at this location, and definatly would not if I were bringing our children.

The hotel itself was great, clean, modern, friendly staff. Very comfy beds and pillows. The only complaint I had was, at first they put us in a king room when we had 2 queens reserved. They quickly remedied the situation, but the reservation also claimed a fridge and microwave, which we didn't get. I mentioned it at checkout, as I was traveling alone with 2 small children, and was too tired to try to move again. Overall, the stay was great. This hotel is on the same road that goes straight onto the island to Wrightsville beach. 10 min drive. Easy.
