Getting Long in the Tooth
Room and bathroom were clean. Housekeeping was courteous and attentive. Two of four light fixtures did not work. Room was what I expected for the price. Biggest downside -- wireless signal was very strong, but speed was equal to dial-up.

Hieronymous Seafood is about two miles away and has creatively prepared fresh catch daily. Inexpensive and relaxed atmosphere. Puts all other seafood restaurants near the hotel to shame.

Great visit for a quick weekend getaway!
This was a last minute trip that we booked with a couple days' notice. The room was small but clean and the staff was great! I was a little worried after reading other reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. Compared to other motels I've stayed in the past this was definitely better than most. That being said, if you are looking for an upscale room with bells and whistles this isn't the place to be. We spent most of our time at the beach or downtown Wilmington so we weren't there much-we just needed a place to sleep. We got extra towels when we needed them without a hassle. We were 10-15 minutes from Wrightsville beach and 10 mins from downtown Wilmington. There were 20-30 places to eat within a mile of the motel and a Wal-Mart and Target right down the street. Great stay-If you're on a budget or just looking for a place to sleep I would recommend. We will definitely be back to this hotel.

Plenty of places to eat within a mile radius. Try the Front Street Brewery in downtown Wilmington-food was great, micro-brews were tasty and entrees were $10-$13.

Not bad
Standard room. Clean enough. Pool was nice and relaxing. Breakfast was great. Just a bit more than your normal continental. Nice dinning area.

Get what you pay for
Overall it was a very good trip. The hotel was not the best I have stayed at but it was satisfactory. The staff was nice and the breakfast was well put together. However, we did find a long hair in our bed when we first pulled back the blankets. The location of the hotel is great, it's close to everything you could want to do. It's only ten minutes from Wilmington Beach and twenty five from Carolina Beach. Other interesting things to see that are near are the USS North Carolina and the Aquarium that is just past Kure Beach. The hotel was not crowded at all, even for the weekend. I did not have a problem with noisy guests. If you want an affordable hotel that will get the job done, this works perfect.

Not bad for the price
This hotel definitely gets the job done for the money. My fiance and I stayed there three nights while meeting with our wedding vendors, and it was a nice place to crash at the end of the day. The bathroom was small, as was the counter space by the sink, but we were able to work around it. The bed was much softer than at other hotels we've stayed in, and the room was very clean. There weren't a lot of channels on the cable, and the in-room movie menu didn't work, so we mostly spent time surfing the net on our laptop to plan the next day's meetings and check e-mail. This was slow, though, and at times we had trouble loading maps to the locations we needed to visit, and had to rely on our GPS that much more. Also, other hotels we've stayed in had a computer in the lobby to use, and while this hotel had one as well, they did not have a printer, so there was no way for us to print out any information we needed for the weekend. The continental breakfast was okay, but not great compared to other hotels we've stayed in. The staff was very friendly, and would even stop to talk to you in the halls. We stayed on the third floor, and while it was a little chilly coming out of the elevator at night, it wasn't bad. It was very clean and very safe. Overall, I would say if you are on a budget and need a nice place to stay, this would be it.

Great weekend stay.
We attended my niece's wedding and were close to everything. Restaurants and coffee shops were within walking distance. Easy to find, rooms were very clean, linen fresh, and quiet surroundings, even though we were on a major thoroughfare in Wilmington.

Just Fine
Not dirty, nothing didn't work. staff was quite nice except the desk staff were were too young, and not very eager, but even they knew what they were doing and responded effectively to direct requests. Quite a bargain really, right down the block from Unc and it felt very safe inside and out.

Great value- we'll stay here again
We were visiting our son and the location was convenient, it was clean, not luxurious but I thought a great value. The breakfast was plentiful with good choices. The staff was exceptionally helpful upon our late arrival and with all the questions we had.
