BEST WESTERN PLUS Wilmington/Carolina Beach

We went down to visit the aquarium and beach. This hotel had all our requirements: pool and breakfast bar :) Our kids loved the room ("fancy with the round pillows..."). Staff was super-friendly, good recommendations for dinner (RJ's, right next door). We checked out Sunday and hit the beach, but came back about 10am to warm up in the hot tub... We'll stay again next time we head that way. Thanks.

A nice, comfortable hotel very convenient to family & beach. Good location close to some nice restaurants & shopping. Rooms are spacious & beds are quite comfortable. Al in all, a nice place to stay.

pool wasn't so bad, but could've been vacuumed...tons of chemicals sitting in piles at bottom table side lamp= not working; both bulbs burnt hair dryer= broken 2 queen beds= actually full size call lobby= no answer didn't even have fresh roll of toilet paper in the bathroom....really? at the very least! how it was advertised= not close to reality; there are far better hotels, closer to ocean & at more affordable rates, than this one

I would just like to say that if and when my husband and I ever return to the Wilmington area we will DEFINITELY no doubt about it be returning to this hotel. All of the staff that we met were SUPER friendly and cheerful and really made you feel welcome. The room was really cozy, and the continental breakfast was GREAT!!!! Plus, the location was wonderful because it was only 15 min. from Carolina Beach as well as Fort Fisher and there were plenty of eating establishments within walking distance including IHOP and Buffalo Wild Wings. Also, the housekeeping staff really do an exceptional job at keeping the rooms very clean. Every day we had fresh towels and the garbage was taken out. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Wilmington as I was very impressed!!!!!

The place is nice. Smells like curry. The staff is the worst I have ever seen, or spoke with. They are so u rude, they are hateful. They watch everything you do, they spoke to my wife so poorly for asking about getting more towels, I went down to see what the problem was, they threatened to call the police! Go to Carolina beeach, can get a place there for the same price. Best Western needs to teach the staff how to treat it's customers.They lost one from this stay. Never ever again!

Good check-in experience. Room clean except I found a hair on the wall of the tub and red paint smears on the tub top ring.did not notice it because of the strategic placing of the shower curtain concealing the tub when I checked in. Had I seen it at check-in I would have asked for a different room but it was late and I just went to bed. The desk clerk would not give me a zero balance bill at check out because she said I had booked through a travel agent and not through their hotel chain so I will have to get them to do it. I was ill because I had gotten one from the Marriott the week before. I needed it for travel reimbursement by my company. Breakfast bar had no hot food at 8:00 AM. Quiet room though or maybe I was just too tired to care.

Receptionist was nice. The check-in process was quick. The room was more than I expected. It was very clean, and modern. I did not expect the BIG jacuzzi tub in the middle of the room. That was pretty cool. The bed was cozy. It was very quiet at night, considering the location near a road. Everything smelled clean. And looked it as well. The location is just a few minutes drive from downtown.

Wanted to go to the beach at last minute and didn't mind a short drive at half the going rate for beachfront. Beautiful room, nicely appointed. Facilities excellent and the stay included a wonderful Continental breakfast featuring hot items and freshly made waffles!! Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely book with them again!

IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. I WILL STAY AGAIN.....
