Americas Best Inn & Suites-Wilmington
Dirty, dead bugs in the bathroom. Area did not seem safe.This was advertised as 3 star but I was very disappointed. I had to ask to change to a different room which wasn't much better but at least there were no bugs in the 2nd room and out of pure exhauston after driving 14 hours stayed 1 night of a 2 night stay.

Clean and Simple
clean, simple, quiet. Continental breakfast only bread, OJ, coffee cake, coffee. Would have liked some fruit.

They do okay with what they have.
The people at this place were the nicest people. BUT the place is a bit run down and I would not stay there again. There was no iron or blow dryer in my room. The wall had some sheetrock missing. Their was a big stain in the middle of the carpet. My flight was late so I was only there a few hours; otherwise, I would have found another hotel. Everyone I met was so very nice!

There is a Target, Walmart and Dunkin Donuts if you turn left out of the hotel and go about a mile down Market street.

This hotel was extremely old and outdated, but one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in. Just don't expect more than a piece of fruit for the included "breakfast."

poor service
the lady who checked us in told me that the regular room price was lower than [...]and that when using [...] we are charged $15 per night. at breakfast on our last day the manager was arguing with the housekeeping staff in the middle of the common area about money and she was treating this poor lady like a second rate citizen, it was disgusting. the room was fine but we had reserved 2 beds and the room we were given only had one so we ended up having to pay extra for the room with 2 beds...definately not staying there again!

good for last min planing
well I had a good time and most of the people that worked there was nice but the lady that was there when we checked in she was not very nice at all. It took her 20 min to let me in so that i can cheack in and do to my room. other then that it was good.

Not happy
Horrible!
The room was gross and smelled of bug spray. The bathroom was moldy and the shower didn't drain. The toilet eventually backed up as well and we were moved to a new room because there was no one there to fix anything. The beds are rock hard and the pillows are slabs of foam. No iron, ironing board or hair dryers available even from the desk.[...]

I walked near Cape fear River, and all nearest beatches. The Buttleship was also one of my point of interest over there...I was planning to go Ocracoke Island, but actually I cound't make it.
