Try the one down the road.....
First of all, the address on the website is different than the actual address: as a result your GPS may not find it, as was our experience. So we got lost. Then it started to pour. We called the 1-800 number to get the hotel phone number so we could get help. That lady was polite & sympathetic to our situation. We had to call the hotel a couple times before anyone even answered. When they did answer, all the lady could tell us was "off 95 by Dennys". I called back again and was asked "are you from around here?" (Um, no, thats why I am staying at a hotel!). When we finally got there she switched us from a first story room to a second story room becuase I said I dont smoke (even though I wanted a first story as I was traveling with 2 children and now had to carry stuff in the rain, i didnt bother to argue as i was too frustrated & just wanted to get into the hotel) Our room smelled. The towels were scratchy. There was a gooey stain on the carpet between the beds. There was a cricket in the bathroom. By the way, there is a pool there which was not advertised on the website. It was raining, so I cant comment on pool area. The housekeeping staff were very friendly The continental breakfast was pretty good, but they should have 2 waffle irons since it takes a few mminutes to cook one and EVERYBODY who has kids needs to make a waffle. The staff working the breakfast area was hovering to the point of being intrusive but as a result the area was very clean & I am sure she was just following orders...

From Florida to New York
It was a very nicely maintained hotel that also allowed my dog Molly at a minimal charge. The staff was friendly, the rates moderate and it was located right off the highway. Perfect for a traveling person!

Best of Friends
The Best Western/Goldrock was a convenient location for our stay in North Carolina. We were only a few miles from family and events. The check-in staff person gets an A+ in meeting our room and hotel stay needs. I would recommend this hotel for travel needs and I plan to return to BW on my next visit with my family in Gold Rock/Rocky Mt./NC.
