just an overnight stay
Very nicely appointed hotel, clean and modern. Comfortable furnishing, mostly clean (we did find a few overlooked strands of hair in the bath area), and very courteous staff. Walls are a little thin as we could hear conversations next door and thumping from the room above. The only real complaint I have is its location. Although it was extremely conveniently located off of I-40, it was very inconveniently located by train tracks! It seemed as though a train noisily rolled by every 30 minutes! Not much to look at around the area (lots of new construction), but, with this exception, the overall experience of our stay is a positive one!

Hotel is new and everything was well kept. Staff was courteous and friendly. Room temperature was hard to maintain, even though system was off, it kicked in from time to time.

Close to RBC Center
The hotel is very close to the RBC Center. We were there for my son's December college graduation and the location was very, very convenient. We left the hotel 15 minutes before we were supposed to be at the RBC Center and rolled up with 13 minutes to spare! The hotel is brand new, the front desk attendants were polite, and the breakfast hostess was helpful.

Convenient and Comfortable
My husband and I have been staying at the Wingate on Corporate Center Drive since it opened because it is very conveniently situated for us. It is not beautiful and it's certainly not in a beautiful location, but the staff is extremely nice and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds and linens seem luxurious. I always sleep very well there!

Weekend concert adventure
Staff was courteous. Pool and jacuzzi were wonderful after several hours on the road. Rooms were spacious and clean with a frig and microwave. Breakfast was what I expected, including the belgian waffle maker. Apart from the McD's out front, nothing in walking distance. But overall a good comfortable stay.

In Hotel
If you are not used to trains, ask for a room facing the front of the hotel. There are tracks directly behind the hotel with 6PM and 6AM trains coming by.

Clean, Modern and Excellent!
Our family went down NC to see colleges, SAS Institute and RTP. This is a new hotel (only started in October 2010). But it's modern and gorgeous! We got a "Stay 2 nights and save 20%" deal. With 2 queen-size beds, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave oven and spacious room and only $95/night(everything included: tax etc), you can't ask for anything better than that. The complimentary breakfast with lots of varieties and hot selections is rated A+ and five star itself! The staff is also very friendly. When I asked for a nearby ethnic restaurant, the lady even printed out the google map for us. We'll definitely come back every time we visit NC!
