Not good

We were taken to our room which was extremely damp. The rugs were wet from the humidity and you could not shut the bathroom door. You could not wear socks in the room or they would get wet. The rug was very wet. They brought a dehumidifier to our room saying that this problem had happened before. Also they said they were a pet-friendly hotel. They charged us $50 to bring our cat which was kept in a cage with us in the room.We were there because we were told to evacuate from Hurricane Irene.

Hampton Inn Raleigh-NC

From the get-go the staff were friendly. Again, the room we were allocated didn't have the prescribed facilities, so after contacting reception, we were offered another room. This started a better experience. We were happy with our 4 day stay and felt comfortable and as if we mattered.

Great location, great service, good time

The hotel was located in close proximity to a planned event. It is tucked in away from the main road, has a traffic light for easy entering and exiting. A plus was having Trader Joe's directly across from the hotel's road. Being an older middle age person, all this made driving much less stressful. The staff was friendly and helpful, the continental breakfast was varied enough to meet most dietary needs. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms attractive and overall I had a brief, but great stay at this Hampton Inn.

great place to stay in Raleigh

Great location right off of I-440 yet very quiet. Close to great restaurants, shopping, the city, etc. The rooms are comfortable and the morning buffet is great. Plus it has the best rates for a Hampton Inn that I have found in years.

camera got stolen out of room

This hotel is clean and nice but I left my DSLR camera in my luggage while I went out and it was stolen. The door was locked so I figure it had to be an employee of the hotel. When I calmly let the front desk know they tried to make it seem impossible and didn't even express much sympathy. I stay in hotels all the time and have never had my stuff stolen. We let the front desk lady know we were going to a concert that night so they knew we wouldn't be in the room.
