Good value.

My major complaint was that the air conditioner was very loud. Which is a problem I have with most hotels in this price range. The "gym" was a joke but the location was perfect for me. Downtown was easy to walk to. The staff was nice, the rooms clean. The bed was comfortable. A good value for the price. I would stay there again.

great deal for the money

I am not too picky and this hotel met my needs for the price. The room was very clean at arrival, but during my 3 night stay the cleaning wasn't as through. After the first night I noticed some crumbs on a night stand that was there from the previous night. After the second night I noticed a few crumbs on the carpet from the previous night. However the room was basically clean. I liked having a refrigerator in my room to use for cold drinks and that the rooms are not accessed from the outside of the building. Also, I appreciated that I was in walking distance from the convention center and the breakfast provided was a nice way to start each day. S.W.W.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Good food is available in a place connected to the motel parking lot and near the convention center. If you buy food at the convention center it is extremely over priced. If you cross the street from the convention center you can purchase better food for a more reasonable price.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

I'm surprised the building has not been condemned. The second floor seems to have collapsed and then been plastered back together. The entire building smells of decay and cigarettes. Every surface is dingy and worn. Just terrible. There is however a very nice doubletree down the street for about $40 more a night. We ended up moving there after our short horrible night at the Days Inn and it was well worth the money.

One Night Girl's Stay

Wanted a hotel close to bar/clubs. Only $4 cab ride to main bars/clubs. Hotel room had a cigarette burn on flat sheet, soy sauce smell, and stained ceilings. Bed was actually very comfortable. I would recommend staying here for one night and if you were only going to be in the room to sleep.

I would not walk anywhere from this hotel because the area is not very nice. The cab ride is very short and $4 to Glenwood bars/clubs.

Okay at best

We checked in at 3:00. The front desk attendant was very short and snappy with me, and was on the phone with her boyfriend as she told me 3 times. She said our room wasn't ready, but they had a room which had not been checked into the previous night, and that it should still be clean for us. The room was clean but smelled of rotten food. I never found where the smell was coming from, but it lingered all day/night until we checked out. There was also next to no water pressure in the bathroom, shower or sink and the toilet would run all night long (very loudly). We did not waste any time checking out the next morning.

A place to crash

Based on the location of this hotel and the appearance from the outside, I was not too impressed. However the rooms were surprisingly clean and had everything I could need or want. Definitely suited my needs after a night of partying.

Our stay

Ice machine didn't work on our floor. Neither did our refrigerator in our room. They forgot to up a coffee maker in our room but gave us coffee! Left a dirty wash cloth in the bathroom. Other than that, everything was fine. Very nice staff. Location is great. Beds were nice. Stay was great. We came to Raleigh to visit old friends and family! Ate at yummy restaurants. Had a great time. I'd stay there again!

You get what you pay for.

This is our second stay at this hotel. We picked it for: the price, the proximity to 2 road races near Hillsborough Ave. NC State and the Capital, the king sized bed, the fridge, the microwave and coffee maker. Our first stay we had a great mattress but, this last time the coils were poking through and luckily I had a sleeping pad in the car to save the night. The staff person who checked us out wrote down a note when I told her about it which was nice. We never opted to eat the free breakfast as it wasn't appealing and their sanitation rating was 90. Mostly this is just a convenience stay that is cheap. I wouldn't bring my child for a vacation. There are almost always some shady characters in the parking lot and there was a condom near our car tire when we pulled up at 4pm in the afternoon. I probably wouldn't stay there by myself either but, I felt fine with my husband. We were trying not to spend a lot of money on a place to stay and we didn't.
