Days Inn - Raleigh Downtown
This was a clean, well run hotel. The layout is somewhat dated so the room and the bath were a little smaller than some more modern hotels today so the rating would have been better with just a little more space. However management of this fcaility make the most of what they have and it made for a very pleasant stay and it is a hotel I would return to in the future.

OK, but bring earplugs
Hotel's location was the reason we picked the Days Inn. Was a good value for the price we paid and only stayed one night. But a large group partied in the rooms and hall near us from 3am to 4am --- on a Tuesday night??? Might have been a college game nearby. So bring earplugs. Nice breakfast in morning.

Expected bare bones but this was much worse
I booked my husband here for a conference, thinking it would be an okay, basic place to stay. When he got there he found he'd gotten a smoking room instead of non as he requested, a full bed instead of a king, a broken and leaky air conditioner, filthy curtains, and wifi that was so weak he couldn't do his job and had to hang out in a different hotel just to work! Never again!

Good outweighs the bad
You don't have a lot of choices in downtown Raleigh. This hotel is the cheapest for a reason. As long as you're fine with that, you'll be perfectly comfortable. The star rating pretty much says it all. Ignore the reviews about decor and the other guests, because those are givens for budget hotels. I was perfectly comfortable with staying here with my wife and daughter, no security issues or loud shenanigans. Just a WHOLE lot of DND signs, if you get my drift.

Its a Days Inn
The hotels location is within walking distance to Raleigh’s downtown. The hotel staff was helpful and very friendly. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast which includes some decent coffee. The hotel rooms are circa 1980, but they have mini-refrigerators. The rooms don’t look sparkly-shinny-new, but the rooms were very clean. The bed was springy (which is not a good thing), but clean. If you are looking for a hotel that provides inclusive entertainment, this is not it; but if you are looking for a place to stay while exploring the Raleigh area, this is it.

The Angus Barn - short drive - absolutely exceptional food and service (make a reservation - they get busy). Sitti - short walk - (Lebanese - yes Lebanese) - get some lamb! Draft Carolina Burgers & Beers - long walk - exceptional burgers!

Nothing too bad, but not great.
The room was clean enough, however right away we noticed that the room was missing the remote to the TV as well as the iron. The fridge had a beverage from the last guest that had spilled and not been cleaned up. The bed wasn't too bad, but I could feel the springs in the mattress. After calling the front desk about the remote and iron, they quickly brought both items to the room. Overall, not bad, but not great.

NC Vet Conference
I stayed for two nights at the Days Inn. Great location for the conference being held at the Raleigh Convention Center. I liked that it had a frig and microwave for my leftovers from Dinner. My husband liked the treadmill they had in their "fitness center". The bad was the room smelled musty. I also noticed that a part of the rug to the left of the bed was wet.

Good, Budget friendly
It was a comfortable stay. Rooms have an ambience of warmth. Wash basin was a little cloggy. But the cleaning staff do a great job. all the receptionists except one were really warm and welcoming.

Good for the Gay's
As a gay man, it is important to have a place to stay that is located in a diverse area so that I feel comfortable and safe. The location of the Day Inn in Downtown Raleigh is perfect. If you are there on business or pleasure, the location allows you to walk to everything because of its proximity to everything. It is close to many bars, nightclubs and restaurants--some of which are gay. We were visiting for the first time and had the chance to experience 1st Fridays which was an art gallery celebration. It was also in this neighborhood.
