Hotel in the round, in downtown Raleigh
The Clarion Hotel State Capital towers over downtown Raleigh, steps from the Convention Center and popular business, dining, and entertainment destinations. Great View of Downtown Raleigh
I needed a place close to the place where I was doing business. This hotel was nice, clean, affordable, good breakfast buffet (not free), great views of downtown Raleigh and the Capitol building, Legistlature, and Governor's Mansion. Close to everything downtown and NC State University. Bed and shower were more than sufficient. Wake up call happened. Business center convienient. I'd recommend it.

Great For My Purpose
I was in town for just one night and didn't need lots of luxuries. This hotel has clean rooms, and is unique because it's round. The rooms were updated last year. Nothing fancy, but clean. The restaurant on the top floor offered a great view of the city. The breakfast was very good. Overall, between the amount of the room and the breakfast, I would say this hotel is a good value for the money. It's close to downtown and NC State.

Heart of Downtown Raleigh
This hotel is centrally located to all the restaurants and bars! The front desk staff is limited (usually only one person) but very friendly. You are literally paying for what you get for the actual room. Its clean, good sized and no fancy perks, your standard toiletries included - shampoo, conditioner and so forth. In terms of cleanliness, they did clean the room each day but sometimes forgot to pick up trash that was truly trash! Overall, it served its purpose.

Once you walk out of the hotel, literally 2 blocks away are pubs, restaurants, bars. Anything from traditional to Irish pubs!

Great Value in the Heart of Raleigh
This hotel is in a great local in downtown Raleigh, within walking distance from several great bars and restaurant. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel was quiet and parking was FREE! Highly recommend staying here over the other options in the area.

Good location
The Clarion in Raleigh was comfortable to stay at for an evening. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable as well. The hotel is centrally located near a lively part of Raleigh. It is within walking distance of the Glenwood District which has many nightlife options. Also, the downtown area is a short walk away.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is great if you want to walk to downtown locations. Layout of the hotel is somewhat dated but it works. Fitness room is minimal.

My review of Clarion Hotel State Capital
This property was perfect for our needs, covered convienent parking, close to major road, walking distance to downtown Raleigh. Check in & check out only took a couple of minutes, room was spotless, bed was very comfortable. I would recomend this hotel to freinds.
