Hampton Inn located in New Bern. NC

the hotel was fine. I would have liked to have had an indoor pool. They only had an outdoor pool. See full review

First Impressions are important - Hampton makes a great one!

Had a great time at this Hampton Inn. First stay in this particular brand, so they made an excellent first impression. Unfortunately, my stay was short enough that I didn't get to avail myself of all the amenities (pool & in-house restaurant), but I'd definitely stay here again.

Not bad but not great

The room looked nice but couldn't walk on the carpet without shoes or your feet would be black.The coffee pot only made one cup at a time. The ice machine didn't work until the day we were leaving. If you wanted breakfast you better had been there right at 6am or u would have to wait 15 to 20 min for more to be made or you eat cereal or muffins.

Good Place To Stay While In Town

The hotel was in a good location and a short drive to everything in New Bern. Although it was on a main road, the hotel was very quiet and peaceful.I would definitely stay there next time we are in town.

When you are in New Bern, make sure to take a stroll in their historic downtown area. It is just lovely with all of the charming shops and interesting places to eat!

Friendly staff!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a noisy first night and naked people in the hot tub. The staff was quick to rectify the situation and was very apologetic. Please don't post this because this is not a reflection of the hotel.

Morgan's Grill downtown New Bern was fantastic. The menu was common food but made with high quality ingredients and preparation. Waitress was great too. Had to order 2 dishes for my picky 3 year old and they took one dish off! That doesn't happen too often these days. Prices were great too. Lunch was only $25.00. My husband had a tuna steak sandwich and I had chicken salad served on a fresh sweet pinapple.

Great staging for airshow

Trying Hard

This hotel is sadly in need of refurbishment. We had to book a smoking room and the room smelled unbearably of cigarettes. The sofa was filthy and the whole experience pretty dismal. Having said that, the hotel was full of a bikers convention and the whole town full up, and the staff coped admirably. I wouldnt stay there again though
