Good location, not much else
Hotel looked tired and in need of refurbishing. Hallways smelled like cigarette smoke which had been mixed with air freshener. Bathrooms old and worn. Good location. however.

Excellent stay
Stay was excellent: all services were great. Only difficulty was finding it but once there not a problem getting about. Nice to have the Outback right next door.

Our stay at BridgePointe
When you walk in to the lobby of the Hotel, all the staff are warm and friendly. True "Southern Hospitality". Been there twice thus far and will return again. Both times, the room had a great view of the the marina and inlet. This stay, we were blessed with beautiful sunrises! What a great way to start your day. Tony the Tiger doesn't hold a candle to this view!

BridgePointe a sound value
We spent three days and four nights in New Bern and had a great experience. We visited Beaufort and Cape Lookout one day and the Roayl Palace the next. Very educational and not too expensive. Learned alot about the history of NC. The hotel is located extremely close to New Bern but the drawbridge is under construction Once it is completed access to the city will be immediate. Right now it takes about ten minutes. The only reservation about BridgePointe is the breakfast hours. Brakfast cuts off at 8:30 AM weekdays and 9:30 AM on weekends. If you are vacationing this is too early. WE missed breakfast at the motel on weekdays.

"could be better"
This was our 3rd time staying there (4th for my hubby) the bedspread was stained as well as the box spring. Coat rack/closet rod fell off the wall within 3 minutes of getting there. Staff was willing to fix it whenever it was convienent for us. Breakfast was much better than in the past with quite a big selection. Will stay there again but wii make sure room is cleaner/ not stained. Way too pricey though for what you get. Not much selection in New Bern.
