old but clean
The hotel is old, well located but clean. although it could use renovation all was functional. "Night Life" customers should be a little more considerate with the noise.

Hotel is very outdated. The room "suite" was a non-smoking room that smelled worse that a Las Vegas casino floor! Room was terribly hot. I went across street to get fast food and was followed back by a man who was waiting for me to exit my car and probably rob me! I had to move my car, NEVER park in the rear of hotel this is a very dangerous location, luckily I got away and never seen his white bronco again. I will NEVER stop to stay in " SLUMBERTON" again.

Ok for a 1 night stay.
Clean, but very outdated. Not what I would expect from Ramada. However, for 1 night while returning home from a week in Florida, it was fine.

Lumberton, NC Ramada is the WORST!!!
Here it is folks. The room was filthy, Bedspreads did not match, one had a tear about 8 inches long in the top of it. Tub was dirty, sink was dirty with cracks all in it. Floor dirty, with hair and filth all over the entire room and bathroom. Sheets were too small for the matress and did not stay on bed, the mattress had stains over 1 by 2 feet in size on them. I had to go borrow sheets from my daughter because after I asked for clean sheets that fit the bed, they brought me 1 king fitted, 2 king flat and 1 table cloth so that I could change my own sheets, because maid service did not show up to clean our room at all! Had to keep having keys redone, everytime I left the room, the keys did not work to let us back into the room.Drunken bar patrons, just outside our room/door (within 2 feet) falling down drunk, cursing, screaming, laughing, so much noise had to sit up all night, police had to be called, tires squealing in parking lot next to our room. Some kind of deals going on loudly in hallways. Employees fighting/verbally during breakfast claiming this one cleaned and that one did not. OMG this was the most horrible experience I have ever had in a hotel of anykind in any state ever!!!!!!!

Ramada Inn, Lumberton N C
I arrived at the Ramada Inn in Lumberton N C about 12:45 A.M. to find the front door locked. I'm standing outside by myself looking in the door at a man behind the counter, I'm waving my arms eventually after he finished what he was doing he came towards the door pointing to his left. There was a walk up window. I asked him if this was a safe place to stay, he said yes. I asked him why he was locked inside and if I could come in. He replied NO, stated that he needed to be locked in for security reasons. I explained to him that I was traveling alone and was worried about the neighborhood. All he said was "it's safe". Having no where else to go at 12:45 A.M. I checked in. I then drove to the side of the building grabbed my bag from the trunk, opened the door for my King Size room. The room was filthy. There was stuff stuck on the side of the mattress foundation, the underside of the bedspread had brown stains on it, the trim was separated from the ceiling, and the carpet had cigarette burns in it. The walls could have used a good scrubbing as well as paint. Also, because of a snow storm, I was stuck there for 2 days because everything else was closed due to ice. I would never recommend this Ramada Inn to anyone, even as a place to board their pets.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Restaurant located inside of the Ramada Inn, but because the rooms were so filthy, I thought the kitchen wouldn't be much better.

Horrible!
I often book travel for our physicians, this is the report I received from one. I arrived at this hotel last night around 9pm. Now, I'm not one to complain but this place is a dive. My first red flag went up when I saw that there was a bar/lounge in the lobby area with some very seedy looking people hanging around. Next, I discovered that the door to the room opened on the outside. Being a female traveling alone, this was quite disturbing to me. If all that was not enough, the room itself was less than desireable. I have previously stayed in hotels provided by but none of them have ever been like this. The room looked and was dirty. The furnishings and decor looked like something straight out of the 70s and not in a retro way. The wall paper, carpet, and ceiling was all stained. The place just looked shabby. I was afraid to sit on the toilet seat, stand in the shower and most of all, sleep in the bed. Thank god I had a can of Lysol with me. I used the whole can in that room. To make things worse, there was no wireless internet, only ether net with no cables available for use, so I was not able to use my computer. I spent the night with a chair up against the outside door and trying not to move around in the bed too much as not to disturb any creatures that may have been lingering there. What is my point you ask? My point is that this motel from hell is not a suitable place to put providers much less female providers traveling alone. If this is the best Lumberton has, pick another town close to Lumberton with something a little nicer to stay in. It will be worth the drive. If I ever have to come back here to work, I WILL NOT stay in this motel and I hope that you won't put anyone else there in the future. Just wanted you to know.

This hotel was awful, the front desk was unoccupied the majority of the time. The room was not only run down and in disrepair but there were ciggarette buts in the nightstad drawer. When we asked for a cleaner room the desk attendent replied " we are booked...you can stay in a sleeping bag on the roof if you like.
