Quality Inn Carolina Oceanfront

I came only for one night to enjoy the beach before a marathon. Beach was just there next door (but most rooms have view on parking lot only). There's an outdoor pool too (did not use, too cold in April). Good value for the price if you just want a (clean) bed and shower. Room is rather large as compared to other value hotels.

Pros: The rates were good. The staff friendly. The location good. The breakfast bar was well stocked. Cons: The check-in took a long time. There was only one clerk and he needed help. People started to get agitated while waiting. He handled the irate guests well though. The room needed more cleaning attention. I found an opened bar of soap apparently already used; and some cheerios on the floor; and the coffee pot still had a used filter and coffee grinds in it. It left me thinking how well rooms were cleaned. With some work by the staff on the cons I would recommend this hotel but at this time I cannot.

We arrived around 11 and were warmly welcomed. Check in was swift and we we wlaked to the nearest bar, only .75 mile! The next morning, breakfast was great. Yoghurt, fresh fruit, muffins, waffles, boiled eggs and more! Helen, an employee of the hotel should be commended for the cleanliness and high maintenence of this facility. She also had treats in an easter basket for the kids. She went above and beyond! I found a pair of socks and a bottle of shower gel, which were not ours, under the bed when leaving. Housekeeping?

room was clean and smoke free, situated right on the beach. continental breakfast is best i have ever seen, with hot sausage gravy and biscuits. overall a very nice stay.

From the moment we entered the Quality Inn, the staff made us feel right at home. Southern hospitality is alive and well here!

Stayed one night with family members in 3 rooms. Our room had two double beds with very comfortable matresses, a microwave, good size refrigerator, and an older TV. The hotel was easy to find and in a safe location near the beach. The free breakfast bar was very clean and well stocked with cereal, waffles, and great biscuits and gravy. Had issues with the TV (in the process of replacing the TVs with flatscreens) and internet (not accessible in all rooms), but all in all an excellent value.

The hotel is very centrally located and steps away from the ocean. It's a little old, but the rooms were very clean, it was surprising quiet for a packed hotel, breakfast was good and the staff was very nice. Many families were staying in the hotel.

Location is perfect, the beach is just a few steps from Inn. Our room stank by the dampness which is all around, of course. But it was a little bit too much... It is fine to stay there for 2 nights, but I can't imagine to stay there even one night longer. Too dark and damp. On the other hand, breakfast and staff were awesome.

This hotel was right on the beach. The price of the hotel is higher than others within walking distance. It was not a spectacular or above average hotel, but was very convenient. Our room was clean, and available on time. Considering there were many families staying there, the room was fairly quiet as well. If you need to be right on the beach, then this hotel will do well, if not, then save about half the cost stay at a hotel which is not on the beach, then drive to the public access which is right next to the hotel, and others along the beach. Overall, good experience.
