Super 8 Jacksonville/Camp Lejeune Area

I'd seen some negative reviews, but tried this motel anyway, and was glad I did. It's a little old, but the room was clean and quiet; the price extremely reasonable for the area; the bed comfy; plenty of hot water; great shower; microwave, coffee maker and fridge; juice, pastry, waffles and cereal for breakfast; front desk staff went out of her way to help with a personal problem. Would be perfectly willing to stay there again.

This is a good hotel for someone that is not too particular about creature comforts. It had the basics and was clean the smell of cigarette smoke was masked by a strong perfumed air freshner and the heater had a odor like it was old. Personally I thought the rooms were too expensive to be a good value overall..

I would definitly stay there again! The room was clean, it was quiet, and conviently placed.

Cheap, great location, staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room smelled horrible however, my friend described it as "old beef jerky". Also smelled like smoke even though there were no smoking signs. There are no curtains, only a thin white sheet, goodluck sleeping in. We hung our comforter in front of the window so we could sleep. Overall, we got what we paid for. The beds were comfortable and we were close to everything.

I was most impressed with the service I received from the Manager. He was very accomodating and even went as far as helping me jump start the rental car I had used on this trip. The only draw backs on this trip, were the loss of my luggage and the rental car dying on me. I wish that the two items that I mentioned, could have been as rewarding as my stay at this fine hotel. I will most definitely stay at this particular hotel again in the futurer. But, I don't know about BUDGET car rental service, and the loss of my luggage by DELTA AIRLINES.

The staff was friendly. The rooms average. I was disapointed with breakfast. The room was too small. There wasn't butter for the waffles.

...that pretty much sums it up. The room was exactly what we expected, very cleanly, good staff and service...not to mention the continental breakfast? Seemed to be a prime location for Jacksonville.

My only complaint is that the room smelled like all smoke from a previous user

Our son is in the US Marines and was returning from his second tour in Aghanistan. We went to see him as he returned and spent a couple of days with him. We liked the upgrades done to the Hotel and we have stayed there several times before.

We were visiting our son and daughter-in-law in Jacksonville, NC. Because we spent most of the day with them, our room was used just for sleeping, showering, and afternoon napping. It fit the bill; it was clean, comfortable, and convenient.
