Holiday Inn Express JACKSONVILLE

Just an average hotel. Currently going through a renovation, I think I had the old room so new ones are probably nicer.

We had a corner room with easy access in and out of the hotel. Service was great and staff was pleasant. Good location near shopping and many food choices. We booked our travel package through Orbitz and included the flight, room and vehicle rental. This was great and extremely easy!

We had a great time at this hotel. We booked two rooms and one of the rooms needed to stay an additional night. Newer staff on the front desk forgot to contact Orbitz to add the extra night. When we checked back after breakfast, we were all set to go. Experienced staff was appreciated. Our one bad thing was that the hotel's pool was damaged in the hurricane. We were told by staff we could use a pool nearby - Good thing -... but they did not say how far away it was and that you would have to drive there! Breakfast was great and the rooms were comfortable. The rooms compare very well with some of the other hotels nearby,

My wife and I took my new-born grand daughter to see her father for the first time, He is stationed at one of the local Marine bases. I travel quite a bit for work, and have to say this was not the best experience with a hotel. The hotel room itself smelled like an old locker room, and did not look like it had been dusted in quite a while. Not only was there dust on the fixtures, but it was also stuck on the walls. We spoke to the front desk manager about it, and they apologized for the way the room was. Rather than sending someone to take care of the issues we mentioned, nothing further was offered. We decided to just go about the rest of the day visiting my son, and put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door as I have valuables that were left in the room. When we returned, the room beds had been made, and trash had been taken out. The dust was still there! We spoke to the front counter again regarding the cleaning staff going into the room when we did not wish anyone to enter while we were gone, and again got the standard we're sorry, and we will check our security cameras and see if anyone had gone in. Well, we never heard from anyone, and upon checking two days later we mentioned it again. The front desk manager said they had not gotten to it. Nothing else was offered. The reason I did not put a one star for this review is that the rest of the staff we encountered were friendly, and helpful when we asked for additional towels and such, and the breakfast that was available was standard, and quite good. Two additional notes: the pool was closed, and green, and our light fixture in the bathroom went out on our second day. I replaced the bulb myself with one that they gave me. My family and I will be going back to the area, but will not be staying in this hotel again!

the hotel was at a very accessable place. we had access to all the stores. the hotel itself was very clean and the personal was very nice and courtous. i would recommend staying there to anyone.

The staff, especially [...], was very courteous and helpful. The continental breakfast was outstanding. The stay was very enjoyable and I would definitely stay here again.

Terrible. They had no one to help me with my bads and I was traveling with an infant. I paid the cab driver $20.00 to help me. The girl at the front desk was terrible, would not assist me at all. My husband is coming back from the war, you would think an american would help me out.

I got to know this hotel VERY well while I was working in Jacksonville, NC. I checked in and stayed (on the weekdays) from May 2nd until July 16th. I never had any trouble with the hotel staff, they were always very courteous and helpful when I needed them. Staying for ten weeks I was there was blissful with their comfy beds and very nicely renovated rooms. I don't see myself coming back to Jacksonville anytime soon but I definitely recommend this hotel!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and we were very satisfied. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly, the room was clean, and it was located close enough to the places that we needed to go. I would highly reccomend staying here, everything was perfect.
