Great stay!
Single traveler passing through Charlotte. Great stay, clean rooms, good breakfast spread. The staff were very friendly and my non-smoking room was actually non-smoking!

The Birkdale Village is right down the room with shopping and restuarants in a fun atmosphere.

Ren Fair weekend
We asked for a non-smoking room, but did not get one. The hallway on that floor was overpowering with smoke smell. The room had bed linens that were burnt from cigarettes and of course smelled like stale smoke.

Good, Average Hotel Experience
We attended a wedding at the River Run Country Club in Davidson (~5 miles from hotel). Hotel is right off the interstate and near shopping and dining. Overall, average hotel.

Good choice
This is a good choice for a basic hotel. It's close to the freeway and easy to find. There are a few resteraunts within walking distance but you'll need a car for any further shopping. Rooms are basic and small but very clean and cool. I don't agree with the "beautifully decorated" part in the ad, but they were fine. We had a nonsmoking room and it was free of smoke odor. No bathtub in the bathroom, (which is tiny)there is just a shower. Fitness center was tiny but not bad. Basic morning breakfast available. Friendly staff. Nothing spectacular, but a solid choice for a no frills stay.

Family weekend away
We used the hotel strictly for sleeping during a soccer tournament. We went on [...]; asked for non-smoking and were placed in a room on a smoking floor - there wasn't a "non-smoking" sign outside of our room. We had to switch rooms - also we are AARP members and they would not give us the discount.

Great location in pleasant area. Beds had soft comfortable pillows unlike many places with the big, hard neck breakers.
