Not so super
Hotel is within walking distance to the coliseum (1.4 miles) and is located near several restaurants. Staff was friendly, price was cheap, however, room was dated and smelled of stale smoke even though it was advertised as a non-smoking room.

Should Have Known Better
The hotel is older, which isn't usually a deal breaker, but when I pulled up the police were there on a call. I should have taken that as a hint and driven away but I chose to stay as I was trying to be thrifty. The room was cramped and smelled really odd. It was non-smoking but smelled like smoke and the furniture was worn, dirty and old. The bed was not comfortable and only 2 thin pillows were provided. The tub wouldnāt drain when I took a shower and the towels were worn and rough. The wall mounted AC unit was really loud and kept me up kicking on and off all night. This is on top of being able to hear the people in the room above me pace the floor all night long! It seems that people live in the hotel and treat it as if no one is trying to get rest. They finally stopped stomping/pacing about 4am, but I had to be up at 5am anyway; so it wasnāt like I was going to get much sleep in 30min. I did not get any sleep at all that night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Next time I will stay at a hotel chain I know and trust. For $67.00 this was not a deal. I should have just paid for a nicer place and not tried to save money. In the long run I did not save any money and ended up exhausted and unfocused at my meeting the next day.

ACC Tournament stop
If you are here for the ACC Tournament as I was, you will spend little time in the hotel. It was somewhat old, but clean. The staff was nice, and it was quiet. Very simple but reasonable price...great location for tournament attendees!

Ok for the price
Ok for the price, Staff was courteous....basic breakfast included. The room was very dated but clean, however the hallways were not...and the place was very noisy with doors slamming often. Seemed to me that some rooms were being used as apartments. O am not likely to stay here again...there are many other options and for a few more $$ you may get a bit more.

The good, the bad, and the really ugly
At check-in I booked a room for 2 people, but the computer book us for 1 king size bed, they assumed we were a couple, but it was 2 women. The manager wanted to charge me an extra charge per nite for 2 beds, bad enough the hotel was empty so he finally give me the 2 beds. After we got to the room, one of the beds was broken, the toilet tank was broken and the bathroom floors was not very clean. The hallway had a bad smell, I made due because I knew I could not get my money back. So I went to the store to buy cleaning products so I can clean the bathroom. The morning of check-out the front desk call the room at 10:50 a.m. to tell us that we had to check out, and I thought that was rude. I worked in a major hotel for over 19 years and I travel a lot, but I have never been pushed out of a room before my time. What if I decided to stay another night this is bad business. Also I know now that I need to state that I need 2 beds. I will not stay at this hotel again, I have family in this town, but I like to stay in a hotel, but it will not be this one.

Short walk from hotel
Different types of dining was across the street from the hotel, and there were other dining and shopping facilities in driving distance. Easy freeway access and the mall is about 2 minutes away.

Decent Room for price
For the price, it was a good hotel. A little rough around the edges. Hallways were in need of a good vacuuming and it was obvious it is a partial "smoking" hotel. I am a smoker, but do not appreciate the "musty" smell of cigarettes in an enclosed area. However, my "non-smoking" room was fine. I was here on business, looking for property, so the room served it's purpose. If you are looking for a place that you want to spend any amount of time in, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. However, if you're looking for a shower, a place to sleep and coffee in the morning this place suits just fine. Can't beat the price.

My Super 8 Motel Experience
I will never recommend anyone or stay at this SUPER 8 ever again. After checking in and getting our room. We noticed the bed comforter was blood stained. Bathroom towel was dirty. The back door was not secure, which could allow anyone to enter the hotel. I did not stay at the hotel because I did not feel safe for myself or my family. I checked out of the Super 8 hotel and stayed at another hotel. Since I prepaid for my room I could not get my money back. People were standing around the hotel front doors smoking I did not feel comfortable going into the hotel at this point. Others were hanging outside there room windows. I felt this is a low quality hotel. No one should stay there unless you do not care about your life or safety for your family.

Nightlife tip:
Short drive from hotel
Plenty to do there on High Point Road/Lee Street (same road). Take Patterson to Holden to Spring Garden, then you can get on Wendover where there's even more to do.
