At less than 3 miles from the Piedmont Triad International Airport and conveniently accessible from both I-40 and Highway 68, this Red Roof is 8 miles north of High Point and just 5 miles from Guilford College. The Coliseum and University of North Carolina at Greensboro are both a 12 minute drive, North Carolina A&T State University is 12 miles, and the terrific furniture outlets are all within a ½ hour drive of this hotel. Great restaurants and plenty of shopping are all located within minutes of this Red Roof.

Good value

I found my room to be clean with plenty of room to move around and keep my belongings. The internet was a little hit and miss but I find that in all motels. Good value for the price paid.

Okay hotel. We only stayed one night and it met our needs for an overnight stay

Good. We had business in Greensboro and just stayed one night to get to an early morning appointment. It was clean and the staff helpful. The breakfast was not so good . Not enough choices. But there were lots of dining spots close by. The noise from the air port was loud but I still was able to sleep.

A Place to lay your head

We only needed a place to sleep and shower. The front desk associate was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was minimal but sufficient. the price of the rooms was reasonable. it was not luxury but comfortable and reasonably clean. It was easy to find and close enough to everything we needed.

Ichiban Japanese buffet just down the street from the coliseum is a great lunch bargain and what a selection. Not just Japanese on the buffet.

Biz traveler

Room was nice with a flat screen tv, newly renovated. Had an old heater though. WIFI was weak at best. Breakfast was less than average.

Great area

This is where it gets nasty, When we checked in I asked for a ground room and got it which was great but not what I expected. When I opened the room it smelled of bleach, I didnt say anything anhd tried to air it out, when we finally closed the room up it felt so muggy even with the dehumidification of the air condition the muggy feeling was still there, as if the room had been flooded before we got there, The beds felt wet but we stayed it out anyway. The Beds were hard and the pillows were like sleeping on a board, NOT COMFORTABLE SAT ALL. everything else was average. The second day was where I really got ticked off, To save money and time on our trip since we didnt have very much time, we went to a grocery store the first day and bought some fast grocery items about $50.00 wosth, coffee, milk, pre cooked bacon, sandwich meat, bread, etc along with bottled water in which we left most of it in the room frig. upon returning from our days activities we went to the room tired and hot and decided to eat what we had rather than going out. When we went into the room it was totally cleaned out, zip, zily, nothing at all to eat, not even water. I contacted the front desk with my complaint and they said that they couldnt do anything, the clerk commented that this had never happened that their styaff was very reliable people. I can say that this couldnt have been true for this motel had to have had this to happen many times before. I will not stay there again when I go back, I have Family there but will stay in another motel/hotel when I go back. Sorry for this one, you get a thumbs down from me.

Requests ignored

I requested 2 downstairs rooms for our party when I reserved online. Then I called the property and made sure the request had been received as my husband has had cancer and heart repair and the other room was for my disabled brother-in-law and 89 year old mother-in-law. When I checked in I was told they couldn't put my mother-in -law downstairs because the room they were going to put us in had paid for another week. Really? How many downstairs rooms do you have? They put her upstairs, with elevator, but everytime we left we had to drag her 200 feet to and from the elevator. I moved upstairs so my husband could be closer to her. I think more effort could have been made to put her downstairs. It was tramatic for her because she is weak and also afraid of heights. She would cling to the wall as we walked to and from the room. Everything else was fine. Room was nice but my requests were placed on the back burner, even though I made great effort to remind them. Oh, we checked in early in the afternoon to. Several hours after we checked in there were rooms we passed that had open windows and 2 beds as if available.
