Never Again

First, the room had an odor. Second, there were not enough towels for all guests. Third, they did not have housekeeping. We had to go to the front dest to receive new towels, and had to bring our dirty ones back. If we wanted fresh sheets, they said that they would provide them, but we would have to do the actual changing of the sheets. Also, at 7:00 am for the first 2 days, we received wake up calls that we did not order. After going to bed at 3:00 am, this was not appreciated.

Don't Stay There!

This place has kitchens but no utensiles unless asked for and then they are dirty. Bathroom was not clean. Very marginal.

Among our worst hotel experiences

Lodge America was probably the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The lock on our unit door was broken, the burners on the stove were all pulled out, there was no shower curtain or even a soap dish, no utensils, and what appeared to be used bedding. When we entered the room, all of the drawers had been opened, which led us to believe that perhaps they had just fumigated the room! Never again!!

There was very little in close proximity. We headed for Charlotte after our one night there.

Never Again...

We booked for a two double bed room. But when we got there they said that they had already confirmed with [...] before they realized that it was unavailable. So we had one bed and four people. We ended up having to get a roll-a-way bed.The room was clean, especially the bathroom. The area is very noisy at night and parking can be a very big issue.

I rate this fire alarm hotel a one

The hotel didn't have my reservation when I arrived and couldn't find it in the computer. There were a lot of people standing around on the balcony and loitering in the parking lot. After the first night stay I found my room hadn't been cleaned. After calling the clerk I was told that they only clean rooms after two nights stay. On my second night at 3:00 AM the hotel fire alarm went off and was on for more than 20 minutes. The noise in the room was deafening and by the time the fire department got there to shut it off, (no fire), I was wide awake and couldn't go back to sleep. When I asked the clerk for a refund he said that the manager wasn't there and no refunds could be made. Take my advice and get a room somewhere else.

My 16 yr old slept in her clothes !!!!!!

We stayed at this hotel a couple years ago and it was pristine. Now it is filthy, dusty, and dark. There was pink scum in the bathtub around the faucet, handle, shower head and drain! People were walking the hallways drunk and loud; one room had smoke billowing out of it. Also, there was one bar of soap; no shampoos or atleast hand and body soap. we were told there were no rooms available on the first floor but we walked by several rooms that were unoccupied. We checked in late and were too tired to complain. This was really a let down after our last stay here cheap or not! We also didn't get to complain the next morning because they didn't give us our much needed wake up call and we had to rush out to an appointment!

spartan room, dirty, unpleasant stay

[...] Check-in took over 20 minutes. Room was spartan, no soap or tissues, minimal towels, fairly dirty room. I could not use either of the 2 wooden chairs at the breakfast bar, as they nearly fell apart when I tried to sit on them. I didn't even want to touch the mini-bar, fridge, microwave, etc. There was some kind of oily substance seeping from the bathroom door jamb. Heat system was not adjustable. Overall a very disappointing stay.
