the friendliest harbor on the Eastern seaboard...welcome to the Hampton Inn Elizabeth City."Any port in a storm," is an old seaman's saying, but if you're actually caught in a storm, try to make it to the town that surrounds our Hampton Inn® hotel in Elizabeth City. Why? Well, first of all, we're a harbor that offers a huge array of services. You'll find shops, docks, stores, and restaurants all along our waterfront. And second? We're home to the United States Coast Guard. They're just six miles from the Hampton Inn hotel in Elizabeth City. While you're in town, make sure to explore our gorgeous neighborhoods. Many boast Greek Revival, antebellum, Italianate, and Victorian homes and businesses. Those who love golf will find championship links within just a few minutes of our hotel in Elizabeth City. Lastly, if you pull into our town by boat, don't be surprised if you're greeted by a friendly welcome party complete with roses. It's a long tradition here in town-started by two private citizens in 1983 and continued by Elizabeth City's "Rose Buddies." It's yet another reason why we think you'll agree that the Hampton Inn hotel in Elizabeth City is in the friendliest harbor on the Eastern seaboard. services & amenitiesHere at the Hampton Inn Elizabeth City, we're passionate about taking good care of you. Time well spent

We have stayed here before and returned because we were delighted the first time. The room was clean with fresh linens and duvet each day. The 24/7 coffee bar is awesome! Great coffee! The staff was helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back! Keep up the good work Hampton Inn!!!

Great place to stay, convenient to all EC has!

Because our stay included a weekend, busy time for hotels, it was more expensive than a stay during the week. Nonetheless, we were greeted warmly, called by the desk clerk to make sure all was in order and always told good morning, afternoon, evening when passing through the lobby. Attention to 100% satisfaction is their goal. The hot breakfasts made our stay more enjoyable than we could have imagined. The pool looked inviting even though we didn't get a chance to use it. Will definitely return!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a Golden Coral next door with a walking path between the two properties. Clean, friendly and very good food. Also, there is a Ruby Tuesday on the opposite corner just up from the hotel; however, crossing the street might be a little risky. Recommend you drive there.

Day Trip

As a first time visitor to the Outer Banks area, I stayed in Elizabeth City for driving considerations. The Hampton Inn there was modern/clean, with friendly staff and a fine complimentary breakfast. The only difficulty was not the motel, it was those darn Rt. 17 signs all over town going in all directions!

Fantastic Service and Comfortable Stay

I was traveling on business and spent very little time at the hotel. When I was there, the staff was extremely friendly and did all they could to make sure my needs were met. The breakfast in the morning is quite nice. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. The fitness center is quite nice though I was only able to take advantage of it once because it opened too late in the morning for me to get a workout in before I started my day.
