My mother was having surgery at Duke hospital and we spent five days and six nights here. It was everything we needed and ... much more, the breakfast was great, the rooms were adequate and clean, and it was close to the hospital and shopping. I would recommend to anyone if you're staying one night or six it's worth the money!!

We were guaranteed late arrival. Apparently all that was left was a smoking room. Parking lot was not packed so go ... figure. Bathroom was old and toilet leaked. On a positive note, the breakfast was great and we did not have to check out until 12. Nice location.

I was there to attend a PAVO (professional association of volleyball officials) at UNC-CH. The distance to and from was good ... and direct. Very helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere. The rooms were clean, large, and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, at no charge. The price of the hotel was very budget appropriate especially for everything that was available. A good experience.

Our first room had no light in bathroom so the front desk switched us immediately to a better room. It was apparently out for ... repair. The hotel is no longer new but it was suffient for the price.Customers are hard on rooms..shame on us..Owners need to repair but they don't always....shame on them.

We got the room at a very good price. We were not sure what to expect for the price but we were very happy. The place ... is very clean and quiet. Good location off the highway. Appears very safe. Very nice amenities. Breakfast (Waffles were great), gym and indoor pool (I wish I remembered my bathing suit), coffee in the room. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to a friend.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving and the location is great, right in the middle of Durham. The breakfast was very nice and ... well stocked. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool. The rooms are very spacious, especially on the first floor. We even had a young cousin stay with us one night and the front desk quickly brought a cot to our room at no charge. We would definetly stay here again and recommend it for its many amenities and great price.

The La Quninta is located very conviently to Duke University's West Campus. It had a very good continental breakfast. ... There is Wi-fi in all rooms and areas of the hotel but you must bring your own laptop as there are no computers to use at the hotel. I wish I had known this ahead of time. My only complaint is that the individual heater/fan unit was noisy. I slept with ear plugs, but found it rather distracting.

A colleague and I stayed at La Quinta during a visit to Durham, attending a conference at Duke University. The hotel was ... quite convenient to the university and we very much enjoyed the indoor pool after our days were over. It made for a nice relaxing time after a long day. The room was comfortable with just the right amount of space. A wireless internet connection would have been nice--the cable hook-in was acceptable, but with two of us, we could only use it one at time, which was a bit inconvenient. The only other draw back was entering the highway from the hotel which required a U-turn.
