Bad

Door showed signs of previous break in. Air conditioner so nosy, it could be heard outside of the room. TV so old, it was blurry. I did not ask for another room, I was too busy to move my room. I thought Sleep Inn was beer than this.

i stayed at this hotel for is distance to charlotte motor speedway and it was right of rt 85 and I could get on rt 29 and go right to the track. the hotel was ok but every room on my floor was no smooking rooms and ther was a strong smell of cig. smoke as soon as I got off the elavator, but not in the room. There was also some kind of mix up with my reservations, I could not get in my room with my key card on the second night and found out from the front desk that they only had me staying for one night and did not clean my room, there was a mix up between orbiz and the motel. The room was ok but felt damp with the ac on.

Race night in Concord Sleepinn

I stopped in early on my way to the Coca Cola 600 because I knew that it could be well after midnight before I actually got to the room to sleep. All hotels get booked in the area during race week so I was especially thrilled to have even gotten a room through [...]. The desk clerk was wonderful! Although my room was not ready she checked me in and gave me the key along with details on getting to the room later that night! I enjoyed the race and got to the room around 12:15. The room was nice, clean and the perfect temperature. I only stayed the one night following the race. I was impressed that you could get waffle batter and bake your own waffle for breakfast the next morning. The continental breakfast was a step up on continental breakfasts! The hotel was convenient and restful. The staff was very very nice.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Cracker Barrel was across the street and there were 2 convenient stores that were just a short walk as well.

Satisfactory stay

We found the Sleep Inn in Kannapolis to be in a very convenient area, the rooms were clean, large and very comfortable. The separate vanity area was very convenient, as was the space for hanging clothes. The one complaint was the indoor heated pool - the room may have been heated, but the water was not. We had been looking forward to a swim, but the water temperature was not conducive to that, which was very disappointing. We arrived on a Thursday. By Saturday the hotel was apparently hosting Little League baseball players. They were everywhere in the hotel - in the hallways, on the internet computer provided for guests, and in the pool. There did not appear to be any adult supervision. This was not the fault of the hotel, of course, but in consideration of the other guests, something should have been said.

Shopping tip: Not Applicable

The hotel is just down the road from a shopping complex with Walmart, Kohls, other smaller shops and a number of dining establishments. Great location and just off the highway.
