Rodeway Inn Concord

This was a terrible experience. First, upon arriving, I had to tell the innkeeper that I booked through this service and he did not need my credit card to pay. Second, he overcharged me for my pet by 30.00. I showed him online where it says "15.00 per stay" and he told me that was wrong, it was "15.00 per night" and that he wanted to change it. (which it is not and if that is true, why would I pay the new rate?) The non-smoking room was very smelly, like it had been sprayed with 1.00 air freshener to get rid of the smoke smell which only added to the terrible smell. The toilet was broken, which my husband fixed since the "0" on the phone rang and rang and never was picked up by the office. At night, it was loud and rowdy with strange people milling about, and a car was left running where Carbon Monoxide came spilling into our room from underneath the door. As we were leaving the day after Christmas, the innkeeper was calling everyone to basically get the heck out of the place as fast as possible. He screamed on the phone to me "Checkout is at 11! What are you doing? Checkout is at 11!" Mind you, it is 11:05 and we are obviously packing up our car. I went to return my key to the main office where he was nowhere to be found. I left the key and couldn't be happier to leave. As someone who grew up in this town (to be home for the holidays) I would say this is the worst hotel I have ever been in. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you like getting harassed by an innkeeper and get migraines from a smell that won't go away.
