Friendly but frayed
Nice touch at this property was complimentary evening wine and snacks. Staff was congenial, but the property itself is showing its age. Some buckled carpets in hallways, clean but stained tubs, broken toilet paper dispenser in room.

Great overnight stay. Easy in, easy out, good breakfast, fast internet, comfortable beds, clean.

I booked the room for 5, (3 adults and children). When I checked in the room had only 2 small double beds, so there was not a place for the fifth person to sleep. They wouldn''t give me a bigger room or a roll away bed either. The manager on duty passed the buck and blamed it on Orbitz for not having me book more rooms or a bigger room, talk about poor customer service. Needless to say, I won't be staying at a Hampton inn again.

Great neighborhood
The location was great for the North East end of Charlotte. Close to good restaurants,the freeway into Charlotte and many racing points of interest. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the free cocktail period and breakfast. Eating area was very comfy. Hampton Inn's have become my favorite place to stay. We arrived a day early and they added an extra day for us without an issue.

Charlotte Motor Speedway is a quick drive down the freeway from the hotel. This hotel is just out of the hustle and bustle in that area which is nice when you don't want to be around the race crowd.

Drive south to exit 49 and there is a mile long shopping strip of outlets that are cheaper than all others that I have visited.

comfortable, clean, friendly facility
we went to a nascar race. it was easy to find our way to and from the track, excluding the city's redirecting traffic "everywhere" (very confusing). the only missing ammenity was our floor's ice machine was out of order. the breakfast food was excellent, with a healthy variety of foods; and the "to-go" breakfasts were great for the road, also healthy eating.
