Good hotel, great location!!

The hotel is in front of the casino, which was a major plus. Also I was able to go to Gatlinburg, TN on a day trip, because there was easy access. The staff at the hotel was amazing and helpful. The only downside was that the water would not get hot enough to take a proper shower. We tried different hours of the day and night to shower and the water was hot for about 5 minutes. But, i will go back;-).

The trip to Gatlinburg, Tn was totally worth it. The mountains were beautiful and it snowed. Once, you exit the mountains you discover this hidden gem of shops and restaurants.

Could have been better

The outside door frame had gaps and the bugs got into the room. The "continential breakfast" was the pits. Other hotels have a much better breakfast.

Trip tp Harrahs Cherokee

This place is just across the street from the casino. We were able to walk to gaming, and the new food court at the casino. We had the convienience of being 'THERE' at half the price!

Harrahs casino offers everything from fast food to Paula Deans restaurant. Backyard Burgers is less than a block away as is the Soco Diner, all reasonably priced.

Won't stay there again

Room was not clean. They gave us credit for the first night after we found previous occupant's pjs. behind bathroom door and saw a bug next morning. They cleaned the room but still left the clothing there. WORST room we've had in a very long time!!

Days Inn Cherokee/Smokey Mountains

From the moment I got out of the vehicle I felt uncomfortable considering all the conversations stopped and one of the employees even stopped mid-chew and just starred. The introduction at the desk was less than stellar and I was handed key cards and not even told which way to go to the room. Upon entering the room I was hit with what seemed like a room unused for some time as the odor hit quick and hard. None of the lights in the room worked and the AC also did not work. All I could get running was the fan which made for a very hot room. To say this was the worst experience I have ever had in a hotal would be putting it mildly. I do not and will not ever recommend this place or for that matter another Days Inn or Wyndham resort as they are offiliated. What should have been a nice day away turned out to be a nightmare for me. I kept on asking myself what in the world am I spending all of this money on when nothing works, the place stinks, and the hospitality was horrible. The next morning we got up for the "continental breakfast". Bad coffee, stale bread, and that was all they had. Again what was I paying so much money for? Maybe the convenience that the casino was across the street. At this stage if I ever return to Cherokee I will rather pay more money to stay on site at the casino/hotel and not chance staying in any other hotel for sheer fear.
