excellent locale and rate[...]...the hotel was very nice although I had ants in my room and not qutie sure where they came ... from...but overall it was WELL WORTH the stay...good breakfast also!!!

Our stay @ the Wingate by Wyndham was phenomenal. The Staff there was so friendly and on Pont with their job performance and ... there hospitality was even better. I felt so safe here. This hotel will be my selection for all of my future travels, and I do travel at lot. I will definitely inform all of my friends and family members about my stay @ the Wingate by Wyndham Renee

Fill up on the free expanded continental breakfast. They have your typical continental items plus sausage, eggs, waffles and more. We didn't even need lunch!

We will definitely go back to this hotel. It was just what we needed. We enjoyed a quiet, restful night and a great ... breakfast. The only things that could have been better was the bathroom could have been a tad bigger and the robotic desk clerk could have been a little more personable.

We picked this location due to its close proximity to the airport for our early flight out of Charlotte. Hotel staff were ... welcoming and helpful. However, our room was not as clean as it could have been (bathroom floors, shower, etc.), and there were holes in the walls where it appeared that old light fixtures had been replaced and holes not patched or repainted. Seems like some effort could be made to improve the appearance.

Very friendly staff, great location. Was close to I-77 and rail system very close to hotel, van will drop off/pick you up at ... rail system. Close to Airport. No indoor swimming pool, and outdoor pool closed for season in Sept. Daughter very disappointed. Clean rooms, good stay overall.

I appreciate the staff, always friendly and accomodating. The morning staff that mans the breakfast station is always so ... cheerful and helpful. The maids are most gracious. I do not like the doors, the accomodating guests are not aware that the doors slam very hard and loud and wake guests at the early hours 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00. Not very accomodating for those that need to sleep at least until 6:30 for an early morning meeting. There are no dining experiences within walking distance.

I have to say that I just loved staying at the Wingate. It was close to most things (i.e. uptown, attractions, and great ... neighborhoods). The staff was helpful and provided us with excellent suggestions about where we should visit and the best ways to get there. We enjoyed being able to have a hot breakfast everyday down in the lobby. The breakfast options were varied so that every day we could have something different. I would recommend that ANYONE SERIOUSLY consider using this facility. It was really a wonderful and comfortable experience!

If you are close to uptown I would try to eat that the Nothing but Noodles resturant. It was really great.

I really enjoyed this hotel. It was convenient to my work and other local attractions. The room was clean and the bedding was ... wonderful. My only complaint was that an employee gave me a new room key without asking to see my ID. This is kind of dangerous.

Loved our visit to Charlotte. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Place was spotless. Because of the hotel's free ... shuttle service to/from the airport and to the nearby Lynx (light rail) station we did not need to rent a car. Travel to/from center city Charlotte was quick (12-15 min) safe and pleasant. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance of the Charlotte Transportation Center Lynx station -with connections to the free trolley service. It was fun to have the opportunity to walk around at leisure and soak up the warm southern hospitality.

Very prompt with service, a courteous staff, loved the homemade cookies later afternoon/evening. Excellent in giving ... directions. Very clean and exceptional maid service!! I like the nice touch with the twin tea selections by the coffee pot. Maybe I'm spoiled by starbucks but I did not care for the coffee, sorry:( It seemed bitter tasting. Overall the service was great, I do have to mentioned the computers need a faster server. Since most business people are used to High Speed, that would be my only concern. I don't like to carry my lap top when I travel. Also I would like to mention, that I didn't appreciate being put in a handicap room at first, I did not request it. Thank you for changing my room per request. Once I got settle it was a great stay. Orbitz was also very good at organizing my whole itinerary.

South Park Mall is over the top!! It's one of the most prestigious malls I have ever seen in my travels. Very good service and amazing specialty stores. Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms, Belks, and Macy's (if you are looking for bargains). I am in management retail I went strictly for an overview. Very impressive and not pretentious. Casual relaxed areas to kick back and relax. Surrounding areas for cuisine of many types, Cheesecake factory and Italian specialties from what I observed. This mall is located 10-15 minutes from the hotel. Very nice area to shop and have dinner.

Very nice people working there. Old building, a/c in room very noisy. Refreg very noisy in room. Bad location! Long drive for ... good restaurants, out of area. Had to ask for toilet paper for room, when we first checked in.

Azteca Mexican restaurant at 116 E Woodlawn Rd. Get the guacamole dip which is made fresh at your table. Also get the mega desert with two scoops of ice cream, flan, and soapapillas in a circle, which is plenty for two.
