Leave the car and head to Uptown Charlotte on the light rail

Good hotel just off I-77
My wife and I stayed overnight, and enjoyed a nice room and a decent view of the Charlotte skyline. The hotel is conveniently located off I-77, and was close to my meeting and a good restaurant. I arranged for late checkout, but the cleaning staff bothered my wife who had a do-not-disturb sign on the door. Since the front desk handled the issue very well, we will return there in the future.

Azteca Mexican restaurant at 116 E Woodlawn Rd. Get the guacamole dip which is made fresh at your table. Also get the mega desert with two scoops of ice cream, flan, and soapapillas in a circle, which is plenty for two.

Lovely Stay in Charlotte
The hoetel staff was very concise in the directions to get to their hotel. The hotel was very clean. The staff was very attentive and helpful. I had a king non-smoking room. Wow! I had a large room, plenty of regular TV channels to choose from, very comfortable bed, and a nice bathroom. The room had many nice ammenities. I was very happy. Coming from the North the hotel is difficult to locate because of trees (off hotel property) that block the view of the hotel and sign. From the south the hotel, sign and entry are in lcear view. When I return to Charlotte next year I will definately stay here.

What you would expect.
Got what I would expect from a hotel a few miles from the center of downtown area. It was clean and the people were very nice. While we ere there the people elevator broke and we had to use the stairs for a short period of time. They got it fixed pretty quick.

excellent service
We went for the ACN Conference in Charlotte. They picked us up at the airport. They also offered shuttle service to various restaurants and to the Lynx Rail (which took you everywhere for $2.60 a day). They looked up directions and gave advice on things we wanted to do when we were not in the conference. Superb free breakfast. They thought of everything. Free WIFI and Business Center. Extremely nice staff. Will be returning!

Wonderful time at Wingate by Wyndham
The staff was wonderful. Very pleasant and courteous. The hot breakfast buffet was great. Hard to believe it was free. I couldn't have asked for a better deal. I do plan on staying their again the next time I travel to Charlotte.

The Perfect Lovers getaway
We came to Charlotte to enjoy the Arts and experience the new renovations of "old Charlotte" as I grew up n the area.Everything was as it should be and very convienet. Thank you for a wonderful weekend

I have to say that I just loved staying at the Wingate. It was close to most things (i.e. uptown, attractions, and great neighborhoods). The staff was helpful and provided us with excellent suggestions about where we should visit and the best ways to get there. We enjoyed being able to have a hot breakfast everyday down in the lobby. The breakfast options were varied so that every day we could have something different. I would recommend that ANYONE SERIOUSLY consider using this facility. It was really a wonderful and comfortable experience!

perfect for us
We will definitely go back to this hotel. It was just what we needed. We enjoyed a quiet, restful night and a great breakfast. The only things that could have been better was the bathroom could have been a tad bigger and the robotic desk clerk could have been a little more personable.
