Leave the car and head to Uptown Charlotte on the light rail
Renovated in 2010, the Wingate by Wyndham Charlotte I – 77 offers a smart value with plenty of perks just 10 minutes from Uptown Charlotte. Wonderful, relaxing stay
Absolutely wonderful. Great breakfast. Staff was hard working and friendly. Room was clean and always maintained each day.

There was not much at the exit where the hotel is located, but one exit either direction was full of restaurants, etc.

The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were great and the pillows wonderful. We came up to see a play at the Ovens center but when we tried to put the address of the hotel into the GPS it wouldn't take it. I had to call the hotel for directions and was given a different address to put in than was given on the confirmation sheet.

loved it the people were so nice!!!
it was awesome and the staff was so nice and friendly and the hotel was great!! and they had a awesome breakfast every morning every hotel should off the guests a breakfast like wingate does!!!

EXCELLENT DEAL
We were pleasantly surprised with the size of our room. Really enjoyed the comfort of our bed. The bedding was so comfortable. Very restful stay.

Great location for the price
The hotel was very clean, however, one thing I wish hotels would have is a place where you can hang your bathing suits up in the shower so that they can dry out quickly. Need extra hooks. No complaints, staff very friendly and helpful. Convenient as we went golfing & to a wedding all within the same weekend. All within 15-20 minutes driving.

Never Again ! !
First of all I think my title tells it all.Never again.I was traveling with my daughter. When we check in I was told there was only one bed in room # 221 and a very lumpy an uncomfortable pull out couch. I ask for fresh linens for the couch. Yes sir right away I was told at check in time I was still waiting for the linens.Second, the room had an old air conditioner, under the window, looks like a big box. well this air conditioner leaked very badly. The first morning, it was like walking in a swamp my socks were drenched. The rug was soaked. You had to stay in one side of the room. When I notified the staff it was like tough there are no other rooms in the hotel.So after three days you can imagine what a wet rug smells like. So this hotel will never see my money again!!!

Wonderful experience.....
The help at the Wingate by Wyndham Charlotte I-77/Tyvola were very nice and helpful. It was "good news" to hear that we would not need transportation to and from the NRA convention and/or local restaurant. I would certainly recommend this Hotel.

Good Location
Good value and clean rooms. Nice to have continental breakfast included. Very close to highway I-77, and only 15 - 20 minutes to airport (during morning rush hour!).

Beware the unusual vehicle entrances and exits. This property is on the corner and has entrances and exits are hard to see and not as well marked as I would have liked theme to be-I missed the entrance and it wasn't easy to figure out how to retrace my route.
