Damaged my Mercedes

The valets damaged my Mercedes and the manager clearly knew that they did it and yet, they played the old insurance company refuses to pay act. I have hosted a family reunion there in the past and gave them big money. The room that I was in for the CIAA was overpriced and they they damaged my car. Never again and if anyone knows what is good for them, they will pick another hotel.

Omni Charlotte NOT WORTH IT!

If I had paid the full price for this room, I would have asked for all of my money back! You would think an Omni would be beautiful - the outside was. And its location was perfect, within walking distance to everything. Also, the staff was great - [...], the front desk attendant, was awesome. However, the linens and pillowcases were dirty for my entire stay, there was never any cold water that came out of the faucet, the elevator buttons (in and out) did not work/light up, the decor was from the 70s and there were no flat screen TVs (which you would think would be a pre-requisite nowadays, esp at a posh hotel), and I thought I was going to break the shower handle, it was so flimsy and coming off the wall! I had to pay for parking daily because it was downtown, and pay daily for Wi-Fi service, even though the website said it was FREE. The room service prices were outlandish ($20 for a chicken quesadilla?) and the walls were super thin, hearing creaks and various other noises. If you have the choice, go to the Marriott or something else - this hotel is NOT worth the price.

This hotel is old

For the location of this hotel, they have old tube TVs and old furniture in their rooms that is not appealing at all, my room was small and the last place I ever wanted to be, the air vent always stated with a very loud bang that woke me up few time at night and during the day I always thought some one was at the door. I was charge for 5 nights for internet but I stay there for just two days, the best staff is a lady named I think [...], she was very nice.

Omni Hotel in Downtown Charlotte

The hotel check in process was confusing and diappointing. Driving up to the door but wishing to use self-parking, the staff was impolite while I unloaded our bags, insisting I use valet parking. The registration desk is on another level so there was confusion while my wife attended the bags and I parked the car. The entire hotel complex is confusing with different levels and elevators so I could not find the registration desk from the underground parking garage. When I finally did, by cell phone with my wife, the check in clerk noted our Yorkshire Terrier and said that will be an extra $50. In the room there is no free internet. The business center is available for internet access - $7 per 15 minutes! The next day we left at 9AM and stopped at the front desk to ask that our room be made up before we retruend at 1PM. We returned at 1PM and the room was not made up. For the price I would give the Omni a 4 star rating for rip off.

Overpriced

I found the Omni Charlotte to be overpriced...there was no air circulating in my room, so I felt very dried out in the morning. Also, the entrance was hard to find. I was traveling alone on business and Charlotte has some vagrancy, s I felt uncomfortable walking home from dinner at 9pm.

Charlotte Trip

I booked a King Sized room and got a Suite. Sounded good. However, the bed was a Murphy Bed and Queen sized. The bed was 3 inches off the floor and about three inches thick. Not comfortable at all and when I asked for a new room, I was told there were no others available. The walls are very thin as I heard discussions at 3am from BOTH sides of my room. Overall, not a great stay.

Beware the Night CLUBS!!!

We stayed here recently for a Carolina Panthers football game. The location was fantastic. Lots of restaurants around and close to the stadium. The check in desk was super busy but they immediately brought out more people and filled the desk up to check everyone in. Bonus points for that! The room itself was ordinary - the bed a little firm for my taste. It definitely needs some updating. There was some stray hair (not THAT kind of hair) that was not cleaned up well by the cleaning staff. My BIGGEST complaint, however, was the night club located across the street in the Epicenter. It was loud and the bass was thumping until 2 AM! I could sing along in my room - I could have had a dance party!!!! If we had been on the other side of the hotel it MIGHT have been okay…. Needless to say, I was exhausted the next am. Not my favorite - will stay somewhere else next time.

No microwave

The hotel is nice on the outside and very conveniently located to everything downtown. However, for some reason, they did not have a fridge or microwave in the room. I assumed that was standard. The room wasn't anything spectacular either.
