Great Location!

Anytime I come to Charlotte to hang out downtown or go to events at Time Warner, I stay at the Omni. It is within walking distance of so many great restaurants, bars, etc. Highly recommended.

Nice n convenient place from airport

Had a pretty good stay at Omni. Had internet connection issues with one of the rooms and on informing management, they were quick enough to change me into different room and also have tried their best to fix it when i was in old room, nice customer relationship maintained by management and was a very good place to stay at. price is little on higher side.

Fantastic and Convenient

This is a great place to have your Bachelorette weekend! The OMNI is in the middle of everything...in walking distance of everything! You are right where the action is. There are great restaurants and entertainment places all around you. They even had an awesome pool party! My only negative is not having conjoined rooms like we wanted. They said there is only 1 conjoining room per floor. The staff was very helpful and they even came up to our room to get the luggage at check out! Nice touch if you ask me. My friends and I would want to go back again!

4th of July in the Queen City

The "roof top" pool was a huge disappointment, it was only on the 2nd floor and didn't offer the great views we imagined. Also, it was super small and the hotel was busy so being in it wasn't an option during prime swim hours. The cable was really bad with many channels not coming in clearly and a small selection of channels also. If you happen to travel on 4th of July like we did, you can see the fireworks from the roof top which was a fantastic bonus.

Room with a View

Great view and location. Recommend getting a higher level, although you have to wait longer for elevator service. Elevators are old and always packed. No fan in bathroom. This seems like an older hotel that has been drastically renovated which is why there is no fan in the bathroom, elevator models are obsolete, but you see new furniture and comfortable beds. The shower water pressure is a little weak and the water doesn't get real hot, just warm-hot at best but for at about 10 minutes before losing the heat a little. The view cannot get any better. The Marriott across the street might also be a good option except I haven't been there. Best location in my opinion as there is a direct connecting bridge from the hotel lobby to the Epicentre area across the street which is where everyone hangs out at, although that entrance to the bridge is closed after 11pm. Hotel parking is not free (15 bucks during the week and 8 bucks on the weekend) and the parking spaces are really small, fit for a compact car...again due to it being an old establishment.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Everything needed, any kind of restaurant, clubs, sports bars, CVS, bagel place is all connected to the hotel via the bridge from the lobby but only until 11pm. Otherwise you'd have to just go out and cross the street 15 feet away. Hotel has its own restaurant. Starbucks in the hotel lobby. Relatively safe area, one-two blocks down there is a champions sports bar/restaurant and a hoooters. Tailgate parking to the football stadium is only a few blocks away. Walkable to the stadium. This hotel is right smack in the center of the city. You won't need a car or anything except if you're going back to the airport.

Sweet Suite!

I've stayed at the Omni Charlotte several times due to the location. The corner of Trade and Tryon is truly the center of the city. I've stayed in the junior suites, but this trip I opted for the corner suite. There must be 80 feet of windows! The views are spectacular, the only one better is the Westin Peachtree in Atlanta.
