Motel 6 Charlotte University

We were there for a car show. Stayed 3 nights. It was very clean, nice staff, no complants of any kind. Much better than where we had stayed before, and just across the street.

Microtel Inn Charlotte N.E. is in a geat location, close to downtown,UNC-Charlotte,the Motor Speedway and great places to eat. Staff were very nice and offer a semi hot breakfast every morning. However, the room I was in needed a little work. The bathroom had a hole in the ceiling where the vent should have been,bathroom walls needed painting and shower curtain was moldy. Asked for some one to look at the ice box that wasn't working and no one ever did and a Strong smell of pot smokeing in hallway.

the rooms were not good,but the location was great very convienent the staff was ok but they tried charging me three times for one room for one night so had a problem there but it did get resolved 3 days later i would not reccommend this hotel for its staff or rooms but if you can deal with that the location is close to alot of things and right off 85 easy to get too,but as for me and my husband we will not ever stay there again!

The rooms were in terrible shape floor molding was peeling from the walls the toilet would not flush there was no hot water and the staff did not do anything to make up for the unplesant stay. I was told that the management would contact me to do something about it but they never called. This was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in

Room was very dirty

You check in through a glass with people standing and milling around inside and outside. They are hanging around the place and are not patrons of the motel. It a bad neighborhood. Would not recommend for a family or a single person to stay.

The Microtel Inn Charlotte N.E. (Sugar Creek), Charlotte, North Carolina is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stepped foot in. Our first (and yes I said first)room was not clean, had a musty/amonia(as in cat spray)odor to it. The outlets were missing cover plates and one of the lights was missing a light baulb. Also, the bedding was not clean. There was makeup on the pillows. Plus, the windows did not have screens on them so there was not way to get fresh air. Also a safety hazard as that it was on the third floor and some one could fall out! We asked to be moved to another room. The second room was much better. It was clean, outlets and lighting was fine. We we only missing a shower curtain. We asked for one to be sent up. They said abousoulty and after an hour one still had not shown. So we gave up and went out for the day. Upon returning at about 11pm, we were not able to get into our room. To our amazement we were moved out of our room, luggage sitting behind the front desk. We were told that they never registered us into the second room and so it was given to another party. They offered us a refund for the night and offered us another room. Since it was late and we were tired, we said we will take a look at the other room. OF COURSE it was as disgusting as the first room with the same smell. At that point my husband and I had enough and checked out. I should also mention that while this was going on, another couple was asking to be moved into another room. So there we were at 1:30 in the morning driving around trying to find somewhere else to stay. Mind you this was the night before a NASCAR race. So that was not an easy feat.

When we arrived, our room was not ready even though we arrived 2 hours after the check in time. The hotel needed some work, but overall was ok.
