Poor Customer service at check out
Dan Nov 29, 2009
We stayed here and went to Bobcats game.. Had a good time the hotel was nice... but when we checked it the woman working at ... the desk told us that Parking would be $10 and an addition car would be $7 because we had friends that was going to stay with us and park there. She told us to validate the parking in the AM. When we checkout, they charged us $14 per car for parking even after we told the new lady at the desk what the previous employee working the desk said.. She would not even look into it or talk to us she turn her back to us even when we tried to plead with her about it. She was very, very rude and put a bad tasted in our mouths... Because of her and the parking charge which is rediculus, we will not stay there again.

Nice Hotel!
NascarFan Oct 26, 2009
My friends and I traveled to Charlotte for the Nascar race in October and for my boyfriend's birthday. The hotel was in a ... GREAT location. The parking price was reasonable but I did not like the walk from the parking deck to the hotel because it was outside. A direct entrance to the hotel from the parking deck would be more convient. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The one problem we did have was the night of the race, all three elevators stopped working. The staff decided to send 5 or 6 people at a time up the service elevator. When we asked about stairs, the hotel staff said "they remain locked except for in emergencies and are outside". A man argued that this was an emergency and they finally opened the stairs. Other than that, everything was very nice!

Not Impressed At All
Troy Oct 22, 2009
The only good thing about this hotel is the very brief walk to Time Warner Arena for a show. beyond that, nothing was ... particularly good. Except for an attarctive and modern sink, everything in this cramped room appeared to be from The Partridge Family home - old and ugly wallpaper, uncomfortable bed (especially the pillows). The tub drained so slow during a shower that you were ankle deep in soapy water quickly. Cleaning staff had the nerve to knock on the door and then enter the room a micro-second later to see if we were there at 7:45 AM - we had no opportunity to even respond first before they were walking in. For the price, this place absolutely represents a poor value.

Great Mommy Getaway
Mommytime Oct 19, 2009
I was in town for my schools homecoming events and some mommy time alone. The hotel was in a great location. The bellman ... ([...]) was a sweetheart. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend it to others. There were a few dissapointments such as parking. I read the other reviews so I expected to pay for parking even though it was disapointing; however, I was not anticipating the walk from the garage to the lobby. That was not good. If I'm to pay 14.00/day for parking at least let it be closed off from the cold and wind. Also I was in a non smoking room but I could smell the smoke from my neighbors room (NOT COOL). The door to the bathroom kept hitting the front of the toilet, not the staff's fault. There was a coffee maker in the room but the coffee had not been replenished since the last guest which makes me wonder if housekeeping did a thorough cleaning job. For the rate I paid, it would have been nice to have the convenience of a microwave and fridge.

A short walk to everything uptown
greene Aug 31, 2009
Overall it was a 75.00 stay at 100.00 price. The sheets were rough and cheap feeling, the room was not serviced until late ... in the afternoon and I had to call twice. The valet and the bell hops were very kind and attentive however with the parking costing 36.00 there tips were small. There are not refrigerators in the rooms and no safe. Location was great but I would totally spend the 39 extra per night for the Omni, next time.

Enjoy the downtown
Lily, urban explorer Jun 30, 2009
Conveniently located downtown, it is a short walk to the convention center, restaurants, shops, a museum, the performing arts ... center, and public transportation. This is a fairly small hotel, but the rooms are clean and have the usual amenities. They also have a pool and jogging track, but my visit was too short for me to investigate. I would stay here again for its convenience and friendly staff. The hotel sits on the perimeter of city construction, which I did not hear once inside the hotel. It may be a problem if driving in -- ask the staff.

The hotel does not have an airport shuttle. Save an expensive taxi ride, and take the #5 city bus to and from the airport. It's 20 minutes and costs $1.50 each way.

Do not recommend hotel
Marvin Sep 2, 2008
Towels, and wash clothes were not restocked each day. I had to ask for them after the second day. Vending machines didn't ... work. Pool and hot tub not clean. The toilet tissue was not replaced on the second day. I was unable to rent a movie through the hotel service, my entire stay. Twice I was called by room service to see if I worked with the guy in room across the hall. I was told their paper work said we knew each other from work. I was unable to convince the man on the phone. That no one in that hotel I worked with, and that I didn't tell the hotel where I worked. When this happened on day 3 again. I asked the gentlemen his name and he hung up. I reported this both times to the front desk. There was no resolve. Then my final bill had a 12 dollar parking fee for the first day. I had clear the matter up, that I had taken a taxi, and did not have a car to park.
