Great Value

The hotel had a quick and easy check-in. We were right across from where NASCAR Hall of Fame is being built and minutes from ... BOA Stadium and Bobcats Arena. Not a lot to do on the weekends within walking distance besides the games but definitely worth the value and proximity to the stadium.

Due to my luggage being tagged incorrectly I was without necessary items for my health. [...] The Marriot treated me very ... well, and assisted me with whatever my needs were. I was registered immediately, had a swell room and was able to be with my family. When my luggage was delivered the personnel delivered it to my room even though it was nearly midnight. [...]

The hotel is in a great location but off the "main drag". I would recommend taking the courtesy shuttle from the hotel your first time out and about. We did this and [...] the driver was great! We told him the kind of restaurants we were looking for, nightlife etc. and he drove us down the strip and pointed things out. After this we knew where things were so we walked back to the hotel and walked on other outings. It is close but it was good to get a lay of the land first.

Great Stay at the HGI Uptown

We had a girl's weekend in Charlotte and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Uptown. We had a great visit. [...] at the front ... desk was especially helpful and made us feel right at home. I would recommend this hotel and plan to stay there next time I visit Charlotte.

WOW!!!!!!!!! Best Hotel I ever stayed at

Went there for the Eagles Game. I was blown away by the hotel. For the price I paid I didn't expect much, my was I wrong. ... It looked brand new and great location. Only a few blocks from Tyron St where all the action was. Not a bad walk to Bank of America Stadium, I saw Panthers fans walking farther to their cars. The Breakfast buffet was excellent, made to order everything. Rooms were excellent and the bed I wish I had at home. Recommend to all for a stay in Charlotte Uptown. Easy to get to. Also if staying on Weekend meter parking is free and pretty ample. We got lucky and parked right in the front two space of the hotel, otherwise parking was $8 overnight.

Good location for Charlotte Exploration

The Hilton Garden Inn Uptown in Charlotte was a good value for the rate I paid. We visited for the Wachovia Championship and ... it was an excellent location to walk to shuttle buses (just 3-4 minute walk). The free downtown shuttle service was also very convenient for going out to dinner/drinks and not worrying about driving or parking. The rooms were modern and loved the free high-speed access. The hotel was easy to find off interstate and easy to check-in and park. The only thing I didn't like was the garage access through skyway-like entry that seemed a little strange and potentially unsafe for woman by herself. There was another option to bring car back to lobby and load up there, however. I would also like a small Starbucks or Seattle's Best or similar kiosk in the lobby.
