Hilton Charlotte University Place

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton University Place Charlotte as a weekend get away. The checkin clerk (Parker S.) was very kind and welcoming. We stayed on the 6th floor and enjoyed a nice view of the area. Convenient to restaurants and shopping....and just off the interstate. Recommend !!

The hotel and staff were excellent. The only complaint, the bathroom was small. But hey, it was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful!!!!

The hotel was very busy the day we arrived due to a Bridge tournament that was in progress, but the staff handled it very well. Clean, quiet rooms and ours had a great view.

The only complaint that I have is that the website says that a free shuttle is provided for anything within 5 miles. The Verizon Wireless Amphitheater is within 5 miles but they do not mention that the hotel DOES NOT provide shuttle service to concerts there even though it is listed on their site as one of the local attractions within 5miles. After I voiced my complaint about the misleading information, the hotel staff politely shuttled me to the Amphitheater but could not offer a ride back.

Upon entering the king size executive suite, my new husband and I were ecstatic!! The room was huge, complete with a mini kitchen, a very soft bed, and a lake view. It was definitely worth the money even for just one night. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It was the perfect choice for beginning the honeymoon! The only suggestion I would have is to make known the complimentary services. We were afraid to use the luxurious bathrobes and drink the bottled water because we might have gotten charged.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway. We were satisfied with the hotel staff and the comfortable beds, however this is the loudest hotel either of us have ever stayed in. Our room was near the elevator and ice machine, which didnt help the fact that our room door was missing the seals on half of it. We were unaware when we booked our trip that the acc championship was in town. This made for some sleepless nights of loud people that we could hear down the halls, getting off the elevators, and in the rooms next to us. We were hoping for a little more from a Hilton, my family has always stayed in this family of hotels and had no complaints. So we only say it was an average stay and was worth the rate we were able to get, but we wouldnt have paid more than 80 dollars a night for this hotel.

The staff was very helpful and friendly as soon as we walked into the lobby. We were having dinner at The Melting Pot and this was a 5-10 minute walk, or 2 min drive down the road. We noticed a lot of football fans as well. To me this hotel is a great price for a great room that is obviously close to many local attractions. The room was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

This started out as a business trip but I brought my husband along and enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere. Excellent staff and it was so relaxing to come back to a clean room and super comfortable rooms with really great sheets waiting for us after a busy day.

Had a great time while there for a wedding.
