Courtyard by Marriott Charlotte- SouthPark

Upon check in we needed a rest before going to an event, people in the courtyard were very loud and it was hard to block them out. The toilet flushed constantly and we had to take the cistern top off and tweak it ourselves every time we flushed. The hotel offered to move us to another room as they had no maintenance personnel on duty, but we didn't have time before our event. The towels were very thin. Beds were comfortable.

The hotel stay was beautiful.. The staff was out of this world..[...] was a beautiful experience.

This hotel has had a make-over since I last stayed there. The rooms are pretty with a big flat panel TV, but they're more like my bedroom than a useful hotel room. They've done away with luggage racks. There was no place to put our 2 suitcases except on the floor. There was no fridge or microwave, breakfast was NOT included with the room... all things you don't think about until you're there for a holiday weekend. Worst of all was the "new" mattress - so soft it was like sleeping in an overheated marshmallow. Backaches every morning. Ugh. There are lots of hotels in the area. We'll be staying elsewhere next time.

It's an older hotel, however the rooms were nicely renovated and comfortable...especially the bed! My husband has a bad back and usually gets up alot during the night, however even he comfortably slept through the night. The property was clean and quiet, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Check in was easy, the room quiet and clean and comfortable. I'd definitely stay there again.

Other than not having a full service restaurant, I could have paid an extra $20 to receive a "free" breakfast buffet that would have cost $9.95 - that is a disturbingly crooked business practice, one on which I intend to verify. Average hotel, nothing to write home about. No additional concerns. One point of credit: when leaving for the day after having the "do not disturb" sign on the door, I did return to a clean/made up room (upon letting the front desk know I needed that service).

Nice place to sleep and get some rest.

The only negative had to do with the business center. There was only one computer (with printer). The programs were difficult to use and the computer would arbitrarily dump everything that was working and restart.

I liked the way I was addressed by name when requesting my wake-up call. Lobby was cozy. Bed was fantastic and room nice and warm (it was 28 degress outside!)
